My one knock at this point is that I'm playing on PC and the control scheme is atrocious. Definitely switching to a controller today/tomorrow.

I couldn't imagine trying to play this on kb/m

It's miserable. Double tap 6 to drop a smoke pellet while alternating right and left clicking to strike and counter while double tapping space and a direction to dodge and...

And then just the predator controls are annoying. And I have huge issues switching to a glide kick from a glide. And...

Just not good. Totally not meant to be played that way. Maybe if there had been a dedicated tutorial it wouldn't be as big of a problem, but it's been years since I played Arkham City and I don't remember this shite.

You could always try the training simulator or just get a controller

Eh, I just gotta find the drivers to get my PS3 controller working again. I've done it before, but that was like two installs ago.

Beat it over the weekend. I'd give it a 6.5/10. Gameplay-wise, it is a carbon coby of AA/AC. It's not a bad thing because those games are so much fun, but I had way too many moments of deja vu during it.

Voice acting was great, Smith and Baker were great fill-ins for Conroy and Hamill. Really enjoyed seeing more Alfred and Gordon as they weren't really that important in AA and AC. I liked the story too, even though the "twist" made me a sigh a bit.

I wonder what the future holds for the franchise. I would love to see a follow-up to AC and a continuation of the story, but they seem too reliant on Joker as a villain. Since Arkham Origins takes place 5 years before Asylum, I wonder if we'll get a sequel to this one. As much as I don't like prequels, I would lose my shite if they did a game based on The Long Halloween. I think they are set up perfectly to do something like that.

Seriously, Asylum and City it worked, but here it could have been done so much better. But it just made sense that Black Mask would be the only one behind it, while in City it makes sense that Ra's would be the Big Bad. Not so much here. It would have been fine to have Joker take over those skyscrapers and have the hostages, maybe rven a team-up with Bane, but that's as far as they should have taken it. You can still do basically everything the game did, including the boss fights, and still not make Joker the main antagonist.

I guess I finished the game last night. Feel like it was a little short. I guess I skipped out on the random crimes going on in the town and just stuck to the main missions.

Really liked it but sad its already over.

I am doing a lot of the side crimes. I feel like it is a waste of a game to not do a lot of side missions in a open world game and usually exposes the story weaknesses that most open world games have.

How much is left in the main story after you get to the steel mill?

Last night I beat the steel mill and the hotel. According to the percent meter I'm at 90% of the story complete. That pisses me off. That's way too short. I've also finished some of the "Wanted" missions, so that might have something to do with it.

Mad Hatter was AWFUL. Should have just left it out. Deadshot wasn't bad, though.

I enjoyed the mad hatter sequence. It was similar to the scarecrow aspects of asylum.

Honestly they should have kept Black Mask as the main villain and made the following the assassins sent after Batman:

1) Bane- targets Bruce Wayne personally. Still keep him as the final boss.
2) Deathstroke- Same in the game
3) Deadshot- Personally surrounds Black Mask's hideout waiting for Batman
4) The Joker- Holds the skyscrapers hostage and tries to make Batman kill off live hostages
5) Firefly- Same as game
6) Talia al Ghul- Sent by Ra's to take down Batman
7) Zsasz- Leaves random corpses around for Batman to track
8) Holiday- Follow-up with Alberto Falcone
