Don't waste your time with GOW 3 if you want a good story. Its the same exact as God of WAr 1 and 2.
You lose your powers you have to get them back while trying to kill your father....So awesome....
GOW 3 is a great game but poor story.
it's more than that and you know it so shut up.

If you have a PS3, I would recommend "Heavy Rain". It is a very unique game that immerses you in a race to catch a serial killer by playing several different characters. Your actions will determine the fate of the characters, so play it through the first time without restarting or replaying scenes.

Bioshock was pretty awesome (even though I'm still only about halfway through it).

I really loved the story of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (it's basically the plot of Scarface).

Red Dead Revolver (the first one...not the new one, which is Redemption) was pretty cool. It's basically like GTA, but in the Old West.

It might sound fanboyish, but the CoD4 and MW2 stories were pretty good. They're linear as all get out, but they're really fun to go through. CoD4's story was told better, but MW2's story is more impressionable. If you already have those two games, then try playing through GTA IV or Red Dead. Mafia II comes out tomorrow, so you might want to look into that one, too.

No it really isn't. Don't get me wrong..the game looks and feels amazing. BUt its not going to win any awards for story.

I agree about MW2. It was very short, but it was a really fun campaign. Not to mention the spec ops were a blast. And this is coming from someone who hates the MW2 multiplayer.

Uncharted 2 has a good story mode. Nice cinematic cut scenes, too.

I still think that Knights of the Old Republic on the original xbox was my favorite story game of all time.

Fallout 3

+10
Get the Game of the Year edition. There are hours upon hours of things to do in this game. Just remember to save every 10 minutes, as it does crash (at least it does on my PS3).

I picked this game up yesterday and played for a few hours. It's fun, dark and sometimes scary, but it seems like all the enemies are the same. Has a few good puzzles so far, nothing very difficult. The view of the game is original. No health bars on the screen or anything, all view of the game. Nice change.

Freezes on mine too. I bought the GOTY edition, took me a little while to like it. I did the expansions after fricking around a little while, game is a lot more fun when you can frick things up with alien weapons.

Heavy Rain was pretty cool. Its kinda in a genre of its own. Orange Box would be my vote. HL2 and Portal are boobs of fun.
