the amount of crazy shite I was able to pull off on console with no mods should only be a small taste of what we can do with fo76 on PC and any creation club settlement mods that may come out.

pretty exciting tbh

Creation Club are micro transactions are half the quality of community made mods.

Edt: I'm excited but just nervous, esp after the Todd Howard interview last night.

Those fools on Reddit thinking DLC and updates will be free.

Free if you earned enough Creation cash to purchase. We had some more DLC released in Fallout 4. 2 packs for $7.99 each. These are free if you earned Creation cash in game but most had to pay.

Nothing is free Reddit.

From Reddit. Someone took all screen shots from noclip doc and presentation to make a map.

I don't understand why all players will be marked on the map. not exactly thrilled about that

kind of ruins a stealth sniper who tracks and hunts at night build.

r/fallout is still a saltmine

Still up in the air. Todd didn't seem too confident about it staying. I think having some sort of radio you could put out or something would be cool. Put out a certain signal and let friends know location or something?

now that would be sweet

could be someone actually in need of help broadcasting, could be an ambush trap , could be some psycho just wanting to talk, could be a vendor looking to trade, etc . we would have to go to the broadcast to find out

I like the idea of a broadcast signal. Oh the trolling.

Yes and no. Your position on the map shouldn't be broadcasted but I do like chasing signals.

Edt: now if you can switch the broadcast on off like stated. Fine.

Yes, make other players find your position. Not show it on the map for everyone to see. Or maybe limit visibility on the map based on proximity.

Just finished the documentary. They are aware of possible griefing possibilities, but they are willing to let it slide to see how it plays out with actual players, and then fix what needs to be fixed. So it could potentially be a pain in the arse, but it will get addressed.

They talked about it in the documentary, things in the studio that work or they think is fun might not end up that way when the player base takes over. Really hard to predict at times. Howard's philosophy is "let's just try it, I'd rather fix a problem after the fact, don't want it to be boring".

Yeah watched it last night.

The whole time I just had the feeling Bethesda invited him (noclip) to do a documentary on FO76 just to relay a message to us.

Watched it as well. Was a good way for them to provide more details and recognize they're aware of concerns, but they don't want to risk player freedom right out of the gate.

Yea. It was a good way to transfer a message. Let someone the community respects and trusts delivery the message.

Shifting gears. Who here played Nuka Cola World? Just started. What a terrible DLC.
