In one round 7 kills, 8 deaths! 
The thing is I don't get snuck up on and I usually fire first, the problem I have is winning the fire fight.
I rarely do.
I guess that will come with more practice. The more and more I play, the better I am transitioning between BF2 and this game.

Try lowering your sensitivity on your aiming. I have mine two clicks from the far left which is incredibly slow. However, it really helps when you are in close quarters and you want your reticle to move with your enemy

He plays on PC, so it's a little different. Lowering sensitivity does help though. I play on the default sensitivity.

I tried that, but it was just too fast for me. What I may start doing is playing at the highest sensitivity (like I did in Halo) and then once I can start getting positive kills using the highest, slowly drop down to a lower sensitivity that is still faster than what other people use so I can have the advantage

That's a good idea. I like the default sensitivity.

I tweaked it a little.
BTW 11 Kills, 4 Deaths and MVP ribbon and ace squad ribbon the last round I played!
I found a really good spot that my squad could spawn on me.
