High/ultra for me with 100 fov. Might adjust a tad more down. Also on 1440p.

I’m kinda mad at myself for not being bothered by the glitches that I saw last night. It felt like I was playing a beta but for some reason that didn’t bother me

I just used the Medium/High/Ultra selections until I got to a good FPS. Next time I plan on trying out these granular adjustments instead.
Yea most of them I didn't change much, just the two listed above. I think the second one I mentioned gives like an 11% boost to FPS when turned to low vs high. Wasn't something I noticed much of a difference with the setting change visually.

Yea I think the ability to use the DLSS is absolutely huge for this game. My gpu doesn't have that capability unfortunately. What FPS were you getting with those settings?

This game is definitely meaty for PC.
Couple of settings I saw that gave big jumps in fps, turn Ambient Occlusion down to low. Screen space reflections quality to low.
I have most things set on High, with some adjustments to some. Running 1080p using i7 9700k and 1080ti. Haven't gotten terribly far, just got to my apartment. Running avounr mid 80's to low 90's in the apt. was usually mid 60's in the missions and riding through the city.
Thanks for this. You're running the exact same CPU/GPU combo I am.

I haven't really ran a counter.. nothing below 60 that's for sure, even though I can output up to 165Hz with my monitor. Though I think I have that setting off so technically 144.
Did you guys max FOV? I generally hate a FOV in any game below 103/95 ish. The default was 80.

This game is really growing on me now that i got everything sorted out

I think I'm going to tinker around some more to get it where being around in the city is as smooth as possible. With ray tracing on the game ran pretty well out in the desert where I started as a Nomad (of course, right? Not a lot going on
).
Here is my setup: RTX 2070, i5-9600K, 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz, 1440p/144hz monitor, SSD installation
Settings I've adjusted:
Motion Blur: Off
Film Grain: Off
Chromatic Aberration: Off
Ray Tracing: Off (I think we are years away from this technology truly reaching it's potential anyway)
Everything else was High or Ultra with the last setting I'm not recalling being medium. Will probably change everything to just High.
Honestly I haven't encountered any game BREAKING bugs, but some of them are killing the immersion a bit. I can't stop complaining about the ghosting during movement sometimes. As if I am pressing the dodge key inadvertently causing me to step forward in any direction more than I wanted. It seriously feels like ghosting/clipping/rubber banding almost. Hard to describe, but super annoying. I'm a bit annoyed the driving isn't the best, but I am going to try my controller tonight just for driving.
I encountered a bug where one particular NPC's mouth didn't move just talking to them but everyone else in the border station's mouths moved. That shite is noticeable but ehh don't really care.
At the end of the day the game is still super fun, to me, so far.

There was one other setting I saw that I turned down to low, but can't remember what it was. I'll check later tonight. It was one of the shadow resolution ones. I think like the screen distant shadow resolution or something.
I haven't gotten very far, just got to the apartment for the first time, so haven't tested these out on anything too extensive yet.

Yea i've been running it at 100. I'm with you, I can't run it at 80. Just awful. I'll sacrifice the 2-3 fps drop that may cause.

Shoot I’ve been playing it on my PS4 and haven’t really noticed anything crazy yet. Controls took a minute to calibrate how I like.
This game was designed for last gen systems. I’m willing to bet a lot of the gripes about graphics not being as good as expected will be alleviated by then.
I’m having a blast. The scope of the city is just absolutely unreal.

Yea, the controls were pretty awful out of the box (playing with controller). Had to go into the advanced settings and basically turned everything off that wasn't the horizontal/vertical sensitivity, then it finally somewhat felt fluid.

Mine just came in. I'll put it installing tonight then probably jump into it tomorrow. I don't mind if it's not as good as it CAN be. shite, the CPU guys above are speaking another language for all I know
Any PS4 tips? Big changes you made or anything you thought was necessary?

From what I've seen, it just looks a little boring. The prologue appears to be way too long as well. I might wait a while before I pick this one up.

Using a controller for driving doesn't make it better.. just highlights how bad the driving mechanics are and how slippery and floaty they are. Sad really..

I did have a much easier time driving with controller than kb/m tho. I really hope they are able to fix this thing for console users because this game has a lot going on.
There are sooooo many extra dialogue options im getting for having a corpo background. Ill have to play a nomad later to see the differences

Overall, having a good time.
Playing on hard and I have died a few times already.
There is a lot going on on the map and I’m just hitting up all the side stuff first.
Only had one game crash and one glitch where my car fell through the world.
Started as a Corpo.

Turn off motion blur and film grain. Go into control settings and enable advance settings, then turn down your deadzone settings to 0. Aiming is all over the place otherwise. I also lowered my ADS speed.

I’m giving this thing a month to get patched and upgrade my console. First 10 minutes and already getting cut scene glitches and everything just looks muddy on my old arse Xbox.
