I’m on a side quest I can’t complete because my technical is 5/6 and I can’t open a door.

You can do it!

The one with the policewoman?

There is another way.

I found it.

Think of this game like Deus Ex. There is ALWAYS a path.

I looked into hacking options but nothing seemed apparent right off the bat. Guess I do need to look closer. I also just feel maybe I should progress through the main story a little more instead of trying to do every side quest I come across.

Edit: and God damn I wish the driving was better... I hope they fix how sensitive it is.

Took me a minute. I shot the door and got killed by police and figured it out once I loaded back in.

There is always a way in.

Skylight
Balcony
Hack a door
Breakdown a door

Just have to find it.

What builds are you guys going with? Really can't decide which route I want to go with my character ability points. Started out and got reflexes and tech ability to 6 and body to 4.

Anybody gotten decently far and have a good recommendation on a build that is working well for them?

I usually play stealth so I’m going cool, intelligence, and tech.

I’m only level 5 and everything has still pretty even.

IMO, the first two perks any build needs to upgrade is to allow your ram and hp to regenerate.

I like to blast my way out of shite so I focus a lot on strength and reflexes but I still upgrade other areas, obviously.

Made the mistake of venturing over to r/cyberpunk

These people are acting like they've been robbed and then the person that robbed them shot their dog, wife, mother, and their child.

Hotfix 1.04 out now on PC and Playstation 1.4GB on Steam.

quote:

New hotfix to Cyberpunk 2077 is now live on PlayStation consoles and PC. For Xbox systems, we are working to have the update out as soon as possible. Here is the list of changes:

Quests
Fixed an issue with completing the final objective in Gig: Freedom of the Press.
Fixed an issue with starting conversation with Johnny at the end in Life During Wartime.
Corrected a rare issue with NPCs no longer calling V if A Like Supreme quest was abandoned mid-way.
Fixed an issue with Nix not going into his default state in Spellbound and KOLD MIRAGE.
Fixed issues blocking progress in I Fought The Law if the quest area is left.
Fixed inability to find Delamain in Epistrophy.
Fixed issues related to remaining in the second phase of the quest after finishing Pacifica fight with Ozob if played after Finals.
Fixed an issue with Nomads no longer present if V leaves the quest area mid-combat in With a Little Help from My Friends/Queen of the Highway.
Adjusted mappings and re-enabled quest tracker in M'ap Tann Pèlen/I Walk the Line/Transmission.
Fixed constraints on freedom to get up and sit down if neither blueline condition is met in Violence.
Fixed issues with time and space resulting from leaving the quest area or abandoning the quest in Following the River.
Fixed an issue with conversation with Johnny not starting after leaving the hotel in Tapeworm.
Fixed an issue with quest being blocked upon leaving the quest area before climbing the hill in Following the River.
Fixed the objective “Go into booth 9” not completing if the room’s entered too fast in Automatic Love.
Fixed Jackie’s issues with sitting still in The Ripperdoc.
Other quest fixes

Gameplay
Fixed the preview in weapon crafting.

Visual
Reduced vehicle appearance pop-in.
Speeded up switching first person perspective to third person perspective in a vehicle.
Fixed issues with animations missing from important quest NPCs during cinematics.

Performance & Stability
Improved stability, including various crash fixes.

Miscellaneous
Modified the flashing effect on braindances to reduce the risk of inducing epileptic symptoms. The effect has been smoothed out and the flashes reduced in frequency and magnitude.
Removed copyrighted songs incorrectly present in the game with "Disable Copyrighted Music" feature toggled on.

PC-specific
Switching language to default in the in-game settings now correctly sets it to the language of your Steam client.

Console-specific
Improved reflections quality on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to eliminate the smudge effect.
Fixed “The Wasteland” achievement being stuck on 97% after completing all relevant missions in The Badlands on Xbox.
Fixed an issue with missing PT-BR VO for Xbox players in Americas.

Downloading the new patch now it now. I'm hoping it resolves the crashing issue I'm having.I'm playing on the base PS4. I posted in the other thread, I've been playing about maybe 10-12 hours so far and it has crashed 4 times and once it wiped out my settings and I had to redo them all. Given how long it takes to load the game that's by far my biggest annoyance.

The graphical stuff doesn't bother me that much, but I am extremely forgiving of framerates and graphical issues, always have been, however I can see how it'd be a major issue for some people. I do think they'll continue to improve things. They are clearly working their arse off and will for the next few months.

I'm loving the game so far, it is a tad overwhelming, feels a little bit too much like a GTA game but the city is even more dense in terms of actual stuff to do than GTA games which 80% of the city is just empty filler typically.

For someone like me who doesn't want to miss anything it's kinda maddening. The item system is also a tad chaotic.

I just did the part where you are introduced to Brain Dances, very cool stuff. This game is like a first person shooter Grand Theft Auto with a much cooler city and more interesting missions and stuff.

I also finally figured out how to drive in third person thankfully. It definitely is easier to drive in third person however the driving controls are way too squirrly, need to add sensitive sliders to driving like they do with the aiming or something.

I think they designed most missions to be really dynamic in terms of giving you options in how to approach them but I almost hope they force me to do more stealth and hacking at some point. Doing a body build and just going around shotgunning the shite out of everything is fun and I'm one of those people who won't mix it up on my own unless required to.

Playing on PS5, I'm really enjoying it. It's not perfect by any means, the driving sucks and the game crashes if you play for more than a few hours, but the core gameplay is fun. My biggest gripe was that it throws a lot of shite at you really fast, really early, and so I was kind confused about some of the systems at the beginning. Once you start to puzzle together how the game works it gets a lot better. Also the looting is buggy as hell which can get annoying.

Visual wise its not the prettiest game on PS5 but it has been pretty stable framerate wise. The only time I notice a drop from 60 fps is sometimes when I'm driving through heavily populated areas. Havn't had but a couple of visual bugs too.

I've gone full battlemage dumping my skill points and perks into quick hacking and assault rifles and it feels awesome. Thinking in the end I'll go Int/Tech mostly and use tech weapons and quick hacking primarily for damage. It's awesome quick hacking a guys gun to jam and moving in on him, or just making their heads explode . If you're wanting to go the quick hack route early then I suggest you save up $15k and go to the Ripperdock in Northtown to upgrade your OS to have more RAM (which is essentially mana). Then you can start slinging quick hacks around like they're fire balls in a DnD session.

New patch has been solid. Nothing groundbreaking but I'm more stable now and my frame rate has held steady. Can't complain.

Check out what's in V's bathroom by the toilet. I've only been playing ~2 hours, so no idea if all bathrooms have them.
