What do you gain from invading?
I never keep any extra humanity or souls when reverse hollowing so they don't get my stuff. I thought that's how it works. You invade to take the other persons souls and humanity?

you get humanity and souls when invading with red eye orb, provided you win.
I don't know specifics, having a hard time invading anyone. decided to go collect some items that needed collecting. embers and the like.

Just barely made it to the bonfire in the Blighttown swamp. Out of estus flasks, rolling around in the sludge, fricking mosquitos on my arse and I could not find the fricking bonfire for the longest time. But I made it. I fricking made it.

I am so glad this thread is lasting so long. But seriously, I may play this game buzzed every time from now on. Not only have I run through the depths like it was my very own rape dungeon on NG+, but I realized I have dozens of un used souls in my inventory and that I do not have to put any levels into str or dex anymore since I reached the point of diminishing returns.

just found out that two soul spears = death for those fricking dinosaur things in lost izalith.
