playing DS for the first time. took me until reaching the undead church that I was fat-rolling right out of the gate as a knight. i thought "geez, this game IS a lot clunkier than DS3." 
about to enter blighttown. not looking forward to it.
also, frick Capra Demon. that was one of the most frustrating and cheap experiences ive had with these games.

Devs: "Let's have a boss in a narrow arse corridor that instantly lunges at you when you enter the room. Oh and just for fun let's add two dogs that are there to just get in your way so you can't Dodge the attack"

this sucks too. got me once with bell gargoyles (after my first death) and capra demon. no chance to re-enter and set up the fight. now i know to go through fog gates and shield up.
and beating capra demon isnt even satisfying. its a lame gimmicky fight.

I'm on my first play through of this game. I beat both ds2 and ds3 basically cooping with a friend through those but I'm on my own on this one. I'm in anor londo and this place is gonna be the death of me, or a controller. I'm at the bonfire before orenstein and smough but I havent even attempted them yet. I cant get a good enough run to the boss gate and end up asking much damage and using my flasks. Plus I keep getting invaded steps away from bonfire. Frustrating and there are no friendly summons except brolaire but I cant get to him in good enough shape to attempt boss fight.

I used more consumables (mossfruit, gold resin, embers) on Demon Prince, than every other boss combined I bet.

Isn't demon prince the first boss? Can't wait for your thoughts on the final boss and the optional boss.

So blighttown ruined my day, but it was my own fault.
Made it to the first bonfire on the support beam and then realized this Dark Souls actually takes weapon degradation seriously. So i was stuck in the middle of blighttown with some weak arse weapons. Prob died 30 times trying to get down to the bottom. Those twerp dogs took 4 hits each to kill.
Luckily i got a Club to drop and just two handed my way out of that hellscape.

No. I just hugged the swamp wall, found the bonfire, and found a water wheel that i took up and died like a dummy to a club oaf.
Im assuming its a shortcut back to firelink somehow, so im gonna go fix my shite and visit merchants before i explore the swamp.

Ya, i assumed. I just want to get my +3 weapon back before i do. It really wasnt all that bad until my weapon broke.

iaito katana and great club are in blighttown. two great weapons

Oh, i fully intend on going back down to blighttown after i level up a bit.
I will murder everything and loot the fricker.
But first i gotta get up that waterwheel and see where it spits me out, then go holler at Andre, and then go back down and hit the poison swamp. In ds3 or bloodborn this wouldnt be a big deal but im looking at a couple days here.

This game is so awesome.
Made back up to firelink, but the keeper is dead and i couldnt rest at the fire. I was freaking out.
Stocked up, headed back down, got one-shotted by some fire aoe from the sexy boss, found a big tree, climbed down it and got my arse handed to me by some mushroom people. So much to do.

Damn man. You doing good if you going through there with only a +3 weapon. I just left there with a +10 claymore and it wasnt a cake walk. I'm in anor londo now and cant beat orenstein and smough. No friendlies to summon except solaire who dies quick and straight invasions.
