Non-lethal to humans, but kill BTs.

Goddamn, this game keeps getting better and better
I loved DS1, but this game is just so much better in pretty much every way.

On to Episode 10. I’m going to try and finish MSQ in one more sitting

Mission accomplished. With no distractions and just focused on MSQ, 25 hours. Now I can play the game
It’s not a story that can be rated on a conventional scale, so the best way to describe it is in terms of Kojimas, in which it’s 10/10. Simultaneously deep, absurd, epic, and beautiful
The last hour either meets or exceeds that of DS1. To what should be no one’s surprise, the final scene is a lot. Chills all around. I’m still processing and will wait to express particulars so as to not influence anyone’s expectations, but I’m very satisfied. It’s firmly cemented as one of my favorite IPs in gaming

Damn! I’ve played for 23 hours and I’m still on episode 4.

In fairness you’re doing it right
I just didn’t want to be spoiled on MSQ before I got my hands dirty

Totally get it! I muted the Death Stranding subreddit to avoid spoilers.
What difficulty did you play on? Speedrunning the game actually sounds tough since you don’t get all the upgraded gear, roads aren’t built, etc.

Hope my linked players spent all night building shite for me. I spent a day building a zip line network in 1, time for my payback nerds!

2nd hardest, it wasn’t that tough to push through. More combat wasn’t difficult beyond it still being a little clunky. Honestly being a good driver helps most
Can’t wait to take it slow now

Just picked it today. It is sorta a UPS simulator but it is so satisying to play.

Not really a spoiler, but there is all kinds of stuff to unlock in Mexico, go back there!

Also check your Corpus as it’ll tell you what gets unlocked the next time you raise the level of a Prepper/Facility. Easy way to decide which ones to prioritize.

Ok, the combat in this game is fricking infuriating. Why in the goddamn hell won't you just drop and gun that has no ammo. You can't find ammo, you can't reload it, why the does he just stand there like a retard. Switch to another gun, why do i have to hold right for 3 seconds and fart around in clunky menu.
It makes no sense at all.

Entering your private room restores ammo to empty guns
Posted on 6/28/25 at 1:20 pm to Corinthians420
That's good to know, but still during combat it's annoying to have to manually drop an empty gun.

sure is, I try to avoid it. I think it is a design choice to increase combat difficulty though

Same, that's why I load up on extra ammo capacity backpack attachments.

Yeah I think it’s by design. I wish basic things like switching weapons wasn’t so clunky to begin with. And being able to dive / sprint / take cover effectively in combat. Not having a ranged weapon was also a pain in the arse. Ultimately it doesn’t take an experienced gamer to realize those are annoying, so we have to assume those are all decision choices by intent
I really liked replacing BT interaction with more combat, I just would have liked it more if it was more seamless
