That was actually much more interesting than I was expecting. I've barely played either of the two expansions and swore I wasn't going to blindly drop more $$s on whatever came next. Hopefully whatever it is is Taken King pricing and not another full game.

Well they REALLY REALLY screwed up Destiny 2.
They finally perfected D1...
Then sold us back a worse stripped down base game version in D2 with all its loot logic built around lazy balancing and eververse.
NOW, they’re selling us back what we had in D1 and calling it “new”.
So many higher ups over there should have been fired 2 years ago.

I don't know the current state of D2 but no way. Launch D2 was way more casual than D1. Pretty much nothing to grind for and PVP was pack up or die.

armor actually meant something. trying to get 10+ stats on your armor gave you an advantage in crucible. as hunter, i need different armor for shadowshot than golden gun (smoke nades good, super bad; throwing knife bad, super good).
random gun rolls had to be grinded. i couldn't tell you how many crucible games/bounties i did to try and get rifled barrel on the party crasher and eyasluna (with luck in the chamber)
you had to farm the frick out of planetary resources to get the exotic swords.
there was no 1:1 infusion to up your gear. increasing light of your gear mostly came from exotic drops.
i would say that it took more time/effort just to unlock a full subclass tree than anything in D2

Its honestly why I stopped playing one. Then I fricked up and got 2 with the season pass thinking all will be fixed.
Now I feel like i'm priced into getting season 2 yet I fricking hate bungie for doing this bullshite.

Maybe they will get shite on so bad about the price and experience that they will drop it down for the expansion.

Maybe not, but they have some serious damage control to do, and asking for it at that price, $10 more than what Taken King released at, kind of feels like they are trying to pretend nothing happened.

Finally watched the reveal. That looks awesome! I'm excited about the Gambit mode.

I think gambit mode is what is exciting me most.
One thing I've always thought about Destiny is that it needed more game modes. It needs to go the way of Halo with multiple modes, allowing you to choose.
