Yeah games that don't support realtime raytracing, that 2080TI is not worth the price bump. Be interesting to see how that looks on games that do support it though. I may go in eventually.
I'm really hoping the new intels are soldered. That's what I am lookin most forward to after the price shock of this one. Looks like the i9 has a high chance, hope they do the i7 too, would really like to ditch this crappy performing 7700k I got.

They had the 2080 on step up for a split second and then took it down. Talked to the rep and it seems like it will be on there soon.

For real, have a 6600k myself and it's still going strong.
I do want to pick up a 7700k though because that's the best that can go in my motherboard. But 6600k has been a champ for me.

reminder... They did not release the lower level cards/nor the higher levels.
There are 2 models beneath both the 2080 and the 2080ti. Based on the current price structure (as if we can go by that) The cheapest 2080 would be $699
The cheapest 2080 ti would be $1100

Paul's hardware review is out. Has the base price and the founders price too. Also has the price of the base 2070 and FE

Don't think you know what a review is. He just went over the information presented by nVidia.
Now when he gets the card in his possession and does independent testing on the card....that will be a review!!!

At those prices I think a 1080TI is probably the right step up

The 1080ti will be a viable card for a long time. Ray Tracing is relatively new for games, and it will take a few years for game devs to fully adopt it.
