I have this game on Steam and good old games. Cannot get it to run. Yes, I've updated the video card driver.

It gets through the intro videos and just gets real choppy as soon as you open up in Doc Mitchell's.

Has anyone encountered this?

I didn't have any issues recently.

But I did mod the shite out of it.

I have not had that problem with FNV but I've heard Fallout 3 is supposed to be almost unplayable on Windows 10. I played Tale of Two Wastelands TTW on Windows 10 recently and it is smooth as butter. TTW lets you play 3 and new vegas at the same time in the new vegas engine. Downfall of that system is a lot of mods don't work but it comes with a lot of it's own mods and quality of life improvements.

There's a mod that helps with it on Nexus mods.

I think you also have to set it to run in compatibility mode and do something else. I haven't played in a year but I remember the Fallout subreddit is where I found the solution.

I didn't even think about Reddit. I'll dig around on there. Thanks.

FWIW, I'm trying to run this game clean start, no mods. The only things I currently have on are DLC.

Nexus is kinda funny about loading mods on a game you have no save files on anyway.
