Barrett's first VA was an over the top, Song of the South type black guy voice and they got backlash.

Actually parts are shown in the sewers and 2nd mission. But they cut the trailers to not show Tifa. They may reveal her tonight.

English VA in XV was pretty bad as well IIRC at launch. They patched some of it and it was fine after that.

Barrett sounds like a cross between a black preacher and Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder.
JRPGs and anime just sound so unnatural with English VAs.

As a fan of old combat...I really think they nailed the combat. A blend of old and new. I cant imagine just standing in a line and fighting with a game as beautiful as this. It would feel....out of place and wouldn’t really flow well imo.
