GTA V console players: your preferred control setup for sprint

So I tried it with the traditional FPS setup, pressing in on the analog stick, but it seems like you have to keep it pressed in really hard or he'll go back to jogging. Like, I couldn't let up at all. I tried the setting where you press R1, but he would only jog and never sprint.Do you have to hit another button in that configuration to get him to sprint?
It's been a month since I tried it and I just redownloaded it last night, but I remember figuring out a solid sprint option being a pain in the arse.

I just tap X continuously to sprint. So, I guess in your situation you would have to tap R1.

That's the one flaw to the controls. Tapping x to sprint is insane. You should be able to press down the left analog stick and sprint

I've never played a game where you had to tap to run. Seems backwards.

Click once to start sprinting. Don't have to hold down. Pretty basic.

If you have a group of friends to play with do heist missions. Can get 12 million from beating it without dying . Sounds hard but you the group can just close application if someone dies and you won't lose progress. Extra 2 mil if you do all of the heist with same crew.
Buy a large warehouse and a bunker. Can get 2.2 mil off of a full warehouse and I think 1.5 mil on full stocks in a bunker.
Do double rp/cash adversary modes. Some suck, some are fun. Contact missions give a little cash but they can be done pretty quick so it will add up.
Or you can just buy shark cards or a modded account
