I hate that when I go to throw a projectile, I can’t tap R1 to throw. I have to press and hold R1. Usually when I go to throw one, I’m in a pinch or playing aggressive. I don’t have a second for the animation to load up.

Anybody feel like the gun swapping got worse after the new patch? I was in the final 3 last night tried to switch to my AK and the dam gun wouldn't come out. Had to go in prone trying to switch between guns and get it to pop up, but somebody one shot me with a sniper. I was pissed.

I never knew, before this past weekend, that you could tap L1 and it switches weapons. That's helped me some. Still hate anytime I have to deal with the weapon wheel though, especially for grenades, etc. Throwing those out are still one of my top complaints.

I played a match the other night and I'm not sure what to make of it. Landed, found gear, but was at the ednge of the circle, so I was looting fast and just running torwards the center.......the entire match. Never saw anyone other than an occasional car in the distance. Got down to the final couple of circles and I could tell I was right in the middle of it all. Found a small formation of rock I could go prone on and wait it out with my sniper rifle because there was no cover everywhere. Kid you not, the final circle was around that rock formation. Crap, they're all coming here. But what it boiled down to was everyone in vehicles running around hoping to run someone over. Couldn't get any clear shots on anyone. Pretty much was surrounded and eventually killed. Top 10 and nothing but hit markers to show for it.

I've had the occasional match like that where you drop in what seems like the middle of nowhere. Forces you to do nothing but run around the entire map looking for a car that is seemingly nowhere to be found. Most of the times it does come down to people in cars. If you don't have a car, jeep, or truck at the end you have a much smaller chance of winning I feel, without a doubt. And if all you had was a sniper that chance is even smaller, lol. If you have a vehicle and the LMG, found in the gold crates, at the end you have a much better chance against people who don't, IMO.

Sniper, SMG, pistol. My hope was to find people on the edge of the circle who didn't see me and I could pop off a few before having to get the SMG out and actually have to fight. But everyone was in a vehicle so I just waited for the inevitable.

I've seen that happen a lot too. Lol. And there's no animation to tell if you hit somebody or not. It just ghosts through them either way. Lol.

People are getting better at this game and more aggressive. Though there’s still some idiots.
Also I played some fives the other night with complete randoms... what a mess lmao. Three of them had mics (I usually only play with my buddies) and seemed decent at first. Once crates started dropping though... they’d rush over to the spot, hop out of the vehicle and shoot at everything. I’m driving be car around yelling at them “if I come back around to you, I’m not sitting still for more than 2 seconds, you’re either gonna die here or we’re getting outta here.” They chose to stay it get sniped. Then the one guy who stayed in the car with me hops out of his vehicle to spray another car on a hill, so we don’t have high ground or cover for that matter. They melt him and one of my dead teammates is like “you’re just gonna let him die there??” HE HOPPED OUT OF THE CAR WITHOUT SAYING A WORD.
Now I see why me and two of my buddies are able to compete in fives even though it’s only 3 of us. Common sense and plotting your attacks can get us into top 7 routinely.

I mean it could just be that those dudes don't know the game very well. For example, I don't see the point of blasting a car super early in the game (especially on your own). During squad play it's best to hit the crates with two vehicles and then keep moving. Targeting folks on foot or on an ATV makes sense.

Hopefully they also make the last few circles of gas more lethal. It doesn’t have to be insta kill but maybe -3 damage every second in it (with med kit) and -6 without? That way you can still try to flank in the gas but not camp out in it. I say that as somebody who has and still does has camp from time to time because the game doesn’t punish the player for it.

I mostly play solo & squad games. I rarely come across people camping in the gas as of late.
Over on r/h1z1 people are saying that the update will drop tomorrow (The PC update drops today). Revival will be a gamechanger on some levels. I think they should allow you to shoot out the tires on vehicles.
I'm also curious if a counter to air strikes will be introduced in the future.
