Nevertheless, I do realize that there is more than one person on this planet that prefers H4 to Reach. However, H4 is considered by most Halo fans to be the worst of the group.

What do you mean "potentially"? Didn't you hear? Any pessimism regarding this game is rooted in pure idiocy, as it is going back to its Halo roots, and is the best video game ever.

Read the title of the thread. It's literally a HYPE THREAD. If you are not hyped, or don't care to get hyped, then you are MORE THAN WELCOME to start a terrible thread discussing why this game is going to suck. You asked what makes people think that this game is COD with a Halo skin. I've explained to you why people don't view 343's efforts as true to Halo form, and all you can do is repeat the same stupid "THE GAME ISNT OUT YET!!!!" bullshite. So compete optimism for something that we haven't played makes sense, but justified pessimism, considering the track record of 343 with Halo deserves ridicule? But again.... You asked why people are expecting COD: Halo Warfare. I'm giving you an honest answer from a huge Halo fan.
If they announced a Terminator 6, directed by McG, and the trailer I saw looked like shite, I would be pessimistic.
If they announced Godfather 4, starring Sophia Coppola, and I got to see an advanced screening of a small portion of the movie, which sucked arse, I would be pessimistic.
I just don't know why they couldn't have taken what they did with H2A, and used it as a foundation for H5. I'd love to hear someone from 343 answer that question.
Anyways....... Are they redoing any old maps, and including them at launch?

They are kinda remaking old maps and also "reimagining" some. So there is a midship like level But because of the new gameplay mechanics like sprint clamber and the jet pack the map has been changed to accommodate those things. In the beta that everyone played they had the midship level and it was very fun they just needed to change some color issues. In the demo that everyone played they had a reimagined midship. It was as if the ship crash landed and took damage then was left outside of a long time. So it took inspiration from the design of midship. Idk if they will have remakes/reimaginings of others but I do know I played both of those maps in a beta with 4 total maps and did not got tired of playing on them they were a ton of fun and I would love to play Ctf of bomb on the new midship

Also read some more about the campaign not to spoilerish but if you want to avoid it stop reading,

but some( I think 3) are non combat and you just walk aroun finding clues and asking people in the world questions, thats kinda weird but it will give a lot of extra story and background, but what im disappointed in is that there is only three missions where you play as blue team aka chief, idk where I read that but I hope those numbers are wrong
