Yeah. once in awhile Id hop on it but it always seemed to have network issues so I never really did it.
I felt like most of the maps were perfectly set up for 3v3 clan

Almost all the clans I was in was just with my buddies I normally play with. Besides my neighbor that I grew up with (who is the best halo player I have ever played with or against) I was normally the best. I use to be really really good at H2. I was in some MLG clan for awhile but guys were kinda weird and I liked my crew of friends

Sanctuary was a great map for any game type. H2 IMO has the best map selection of any of the games. Besides the usual favorites such as Lockout, Midship, and Sanctuary H2 has maps like Elongation which is an awesome slayer, CTF map, Turf, Warlock, Foundation(great snipers map), Beaver Creek, Zanzibar, Relic(great 1 flag CTF map), Ascension, Ivory Tower, and I liked Backwash for MLG slayer.
Colossus was a fun slayer map as well as Tombstone. That's 15 maps that IMO are just great. Actually the only map I dislike in H2 is Gemini. Containment and the other big maps have their place for big team games. I just don't think any other Halo game stacks up in the map department. H3 had a few decent ones but not near the quality and Halo CE certainly had quality but not the quantity H2 had because no DLC. Hang Em High is my all time favorite map because the weapons setup on the map changes from Slayer to CTF. Perfectly balanced it. Damnation is great, Chill Out, Blood Gulch, Battle Creek, Derelict, Prisoner, Rat Race, Sidewinder, and Wizard are great as well. Honestly the maps in H3 and on just can't match up.

Another reason I quit my team, we were only semi-pro and the top 2 guys on the team were insufferable. Lot of people have no idea how to take being good at something.

I was with you up until this point. Backwash was a terrible map.
Colossus was a lot of fun for Snipers and CTF.

1000000% agree. My favorite maps of any game ever. If they could have made a legit hang em high in H2 it would been so epic.
I honestly think I could have played H2 competitively professionally whatever. Me and my neighbor were an unstoppable team. We always played split screen which I believe it a huge advantage but we got to the point that we really didnt even talk because we always knew what the other was doing. I was just always playing sports in HS if I would have just played Halo I think I could have actually done some serious damage
I played with some pro dudes but they were just such tools that I couldnt do it. My game was right there with them but I couldnt stand them. The only thing I wasnt really really good at was the sniper because I would always give it to my buddy bc he was insane with it

My brother, myself, and a few friends played in local tourneys and wrecked shop. Won most of them but we couldn't have played pro. We all played sports in HS and just didn't play enough except for summers. One member of the team could have been a legit pro. I've watch tons of pro footage and this guy was on par if not better than these guys. That's why we wrecked shop in local tourneys. He'd have 20 to 25 kills and 2 to 5 deaths consistently in MLG team slayer games to 50 while we all chipped in 10 or less because he just killed people so fast. Dude is just a freak at everything he does. Guy started playing gold 4 years ago and he's a scratch golfer now. Some people are just naturally gifted at everything.

I had a group that played all the time. We actually used to hook up 4 tvs and 4 boxes and play 16 people. Was badass.
I played in a 2v2 tourney one time and we advanced a couple times. Then got knocked out by the best 2 people ive ever seen. They win the finals like 50-2 and I swear they never missed a single shot with any weapon. There was never a chance for the other teams

What level were you guys on H2 and H3?
I was a 38 on H2 at my peak. It was hard to get much higher than 40 though without bridging for host so you could potentially standbye modders, or to keep from getting standbyed. Was a lot of luck involved if you didn't have someone who could do it.
On H3 I was a 50 in team slayer and team doubles on 3 different accounts, and a 49 in Snipers on one, myriad of mid 40s on the other accounts/matchmaking types. As I said earlier, was much better at 3.

I went to blockbuster onces and realized that all the boxes had the 1 month free trials in them so I took all of them so me and my buddies would makes random accounts all the time and just build those up until they expired for fun

I don't remember my H2 rank exactly. I think it topped out at 42 though. H3 was too easy to rank up. I played H3 religiously the first year and a half and it just didn't having the staying power H2 had but had a few 49s or 50s if I recall correctly. I know I had a 50 in doubles.
