You're almost there, just knock it out. Act 3 has some amazing boss fights

The Last Judge may be the death of me. I have the magma bell equipped and can consistently get to Phase 2, but this fight is making me hate life.

Which attack is giving you the most trouble?

I can’t relate because I accidentally got into the Citadel the back way (which allows you to skip Last Judge). So when I went back and fought her, I had a much more robust kit than a player would otherwise have there and mopped her after 2-3 attempts

It's just a third phase of that fight. It's nothing but more of the same but faster and invariably I end up pushing the wrong button and getting two units of contact damage.

I got tantalizingly close to victory earlier tonight, and made a stupid move and got myself killed. But I've been consistently making it to the third phase as of tonight usually can make it through the entire first phase without taking any kind of damage. Granted, it's taken me a week to get there. I had to take a break from that entire encounter and go clear out Hunter's March and most of sinners road just to have a change of scenery.

I. Didn't. Know. She. Would. Explode. When. She. Died.

Made it untouched for the whole runback.

Didn't take any damage until Phase 3.

Perfected aiming for the outside of her hitbox when doing the pogo attacks in phases 2 & 3.

Finally killed her and while I was sitting there in shock and relief, the bitch self-destructed and killed me before the autosave kicked in.

Took me 3-4 attempts afterwards to take her down again, but I finally did it. On to the Citadel now.

Got the clawline and I'm now in pursuit of the double jump Faydown Cloak in Mount Fay. Got to the first bench after Shakra' s campfire and am now struggling with the interior of the mountain after finally learning the ascent up the left side.

I stalled out on the left side ascent for about 90 minutes because I realized I was trying to jump/float/Clawline too quickly after hitting one of the flying mobs as I was was working my way from cable car to cable car. Even the slightest hesitation after hitting a target with the Clawline can make the difference between having enough altitude from hitting one of the flying bugs and coming up short.

Took me a while to understand that I was accidentally self-sabotaging my runs by being impatient with the jump button.

Finally made it to the top and got the Faydown Cloak. I take heart in the fact that folks say this was the hardest platforming section of the game, since it's behind me, now. That timer to avoid damage from the cold was diabolical.

Still in Act II, and I've hit a bit of a plateau. There's any number of directions I can go and I'm not sure that I'm committed to any one, right now.

I finally found my way into Bilewater in reverse from the way many do it (I went down from Whispering Vaults rather than going over from Sinner's Road once you get the Double Jump).

Apparently I had the ability to go over into Putrefied Ducts from Memoriam since getting the Faydown Cloak, too, but I missed that secret entrance. It wasn't until I saw a Youtube video trying to figure out if you have to open the connection between Bilewater & Putrefied Ducts from the top down that I learned I can get into the Ducts after all.

Ditto for the Wisp Thicket area into the Underworks. I made it to the Father Flame boss and I don't need the kind of negativity in my life that that run back would cause. The Mist area navigating to the Exhaust Organ, too.

I found Trubbio in Whispering Vaults' stage area and didn't feel like banging my head against that particular wall for a while either. I made it to the last phase of the gauntlet to get the Conductor's Melody in the High Halls, but that Choir Clapper mob is a gigantic PITA. The main thing I have picked up in my time since I was working on that one to no avail is the Tacks subweapon that's thrown on the ground. Maybe sticking to the walls and spam those would work. Of course, that means barely using them if at all in the rounds leading up to that finale part....

I ran into the Chef boss in Sinner's Road and attempted that one several times, but it didn't seem compelling enough to make me stick with it the way some of the other bosses like Last Judge and the Cogwork Dancers did to keep at it until I finally knocked them out.

Is there a such thing as a game being TOO open world?

I got the Ruined Tool in the Bilewater Weavenest (Murglin), and consensus seems to be to take it back to the Mount Fay peak and convert it there, rather than giving it to the Deep Docks merchant or the Twelfth Architect.

So that Wreath of Cleansing in the Putrefied Ducts is a lifesaver. I made it all the way to Bilewater and cleared the arena battle in Bilehaven... only to have a new boss spawn right after. What a sonofabitch.

Thankfully, I discovered the hidden bench that's halfway from the Bilewater bell station to ease the pain of that run back. I'm assuming that once I clear that boss, the pathway to the left will open up to be able to open the doorway to Huntress' area in the bottom left of the Ducts area.

I did land the Apostate Key, so I can revisit the Slab's previously inaccessible areas. I'm about halfway through Sands of Karak, but haven't opened the shortcut back to the top of Blasted Lands right before the area where the Flea Circus moved after beating The Last Judge.
