Same! Loving this game so far. Haven't played since mk64 and I really love what they've done with the franchise. Also loving the music in this game!

The game is amazing, and it's absurd that you can play it on a handheld, but some of the online stuff is more annoying than it was on the Wii U.
Like they need to hurry people up as far as picking a track. I don't know why, but it seems like practically every time somebody takes forever to pick a course. And it takes way too long for them to do the countdown to force people to pick.

Haven't tried online yet. Just tearing up 50cc since I figured I'd be rusty. Haven't gotten below first yet tho

Im watching my two daughters 7 and 8 play this game and it's a cool moment. 25 years ago it was me and my neighbor. Nintendo ftw

Tough for me to get into the cups, since I played it on the Wii U. But the online is amazing. When it works. I assume it's just some day 2 problems.
There's no lag issues, it's just getting into a race is annoying at times.

My son loves it, anyone playing it is it worth to get the steering wheels? We have a pro controller but he wants a steering wheel.

I've always found the steering wheels on past versions to be a pain in the arse. I've been playing with my 7 and 4 year olds all weekend and we have had a blast with the game. The steer assist and automatic gas feature allow my youngest to play with us. We have the joy con and pro controller set up. I will say that when we all 3 play and 2 of us have to only us one of the joy con turned sideways, it is more difficult to play as that controller is so small. Contemplating just dropping another $60-$70 for another controller set up.

The steering wheel sucks. They have ever since the Wii.
The issue is that it is not on a fixed point. So turning is not as sharp and percise.

Hardwire with USB to RJ45. This solved a lot of online issues with Kart on the WiiU for me. Doing the same with the switch.

Finally got it in yesterday afternoon. Played most of the day and its pretty great.
One thing I don't quite get, I've figured out that the coins are for the guy who pulls you back up when you fall, but is there any extra benefit if he takes say 3 coins vs 1?

the coins also unlock new vehicles, tires, and gliders.
this is a great game, perfect for the switch.
Now if we can just get nintendo to port Mario Maker I will be happy I didn't have to buy the WiiU.

I havent even played battle mode yet, I can't wait to play that with my daughters (well esp the one who isn't super competitive and loves just playing games, the other HATES to lose)
