Going to see Marquette destroy LSU tonight and probably going drink afterwards...If for some reason we don't advance tonight, I'll do it first thing tomorrow morning.

That's good b/c I probably won't play my game until late tonight or early in the morning for the same reason
If you don't mind, advance the league in the morning please. I'll get up and play my game before going to work in the morning. It will be played by 6am

Saw that HTF got his game in so I went ahead and advanced to week 6. Once again, there are no user games this week.

Anybody still have problems with the their linemen blocking and excessive penalties?
I play with Oklahoma. I was playing Ball St. last night and I couldn't run the damn ball. It seemed like I was playing a top ranked defense the way they were pushing off blocks and flying to the ball. Another gripe I have is that the penalties should be lowered. I think I had 15 penalties last as well. On the limited occassions where I did break a play for 20 yards or so, I got flagged for holding or clipping even though my blocking schemes were set on conservative.

Holding is definitely way too high. I was waiting for someone else to say something about before I said anything though.
Will tweak that for week 7.
As for the running game, I feel like it's challenging but not impossible which is how I want the computer to play.

Seems like it should be relative to the opponent though. One would expect an oppenent like Ball St. not to have a top 5 suffocating like defense. I expect to struggle against teams like FSU, LSU, Bama, Ohio State and the like but I would expect to have some success running the ball against teams like Ball St, ULL, UAB, Tulane, etc.

It depends on play calling too. You have to mix it up with counters and stuff to the edge instead of just expecting to over power them in the trenches every time.
I just ran for over 200 yards against Florida because of that.
Besides, you won by 30+ points so that is a pretty accurate score. There is no need to adjust it.

You also gotta think. You don't have Adrian Peterson or Demarco Murray at RB anymore. Oklahoma is considered more of a spread option type team.

Most difficult 23 point victory I ever had.

The Georgia Bulldogs fresh off of their new top ten rank went into Saturday's game ranked #9 in the nation. They traveled about 4 hours up to Knoxville, Tennessee to take on the Volunteers. What should have been a close hard fought game, turned out to be just another sleeper as Georgia seems to have found their swagger.
Georgia received the ball to start off the game. They used a long time consuming drive and capped it off with a 4 yard Touchdown run by RB Richard Samuel. Aaron Murray really came to play Saturday as he went 11 for his first 14 passes in the first half.
Georgia would rely on their defense heavily in the first half as they forced a few turnovers and held the Volunteers scoreless through the first two quarters. Georgia would score 24 straight unanswered points, including two touchdowns and a field goal in the 2nd quarter.
Senior Kicker Blair Walsh looking to boost his NFL draft stock nailed a 44 yard field goal to push the lead to 10-0. After another stalled series by Tennessee, Aaron Murray hit Freshman WR Malcolm Mitchell for a 25 yard score. That would be the first of two on the day for Murray. After an untimely turnover near the end of the half, Georgia used their timeouts wisely and stretched the lead to an insurmountable lead of 24-0 at the half.
However, if you turned your television set off after half, you missed a valiant effort led by QB Tyler Bray to stage a comeback. After receiving the ball at halftime, Tyler Bray hooked up with well known and well hated (around Georgia) WR Da'Rick Rogers for a 60 yard pass on a busted coverage play. Not to be outdone by his counter part, Aaron Murray hooked up with Taverres King on his own long pass, completing a 75 yard pass on the first play of the ensuing drive.
Aaron Murray would finish the game with a modest 14 completions of 25 attempts. He did rack up 263 yards, and two scores while compiling a 170.7 QB rating for the game. Tennessee would force some three and outs on Georgia and use that defensive momentum to score 14 unanswered points. That's as close as the Volunteers would come to Georgia, as Isiah Crowell iced the game with a 38 yard touchdown run to complete the scoring.
Looking ahead, Georgia will travel down the road from Knoxville, and take on the Commodres of Vanderbilt who are currently 1-3 on the early season. The game against Vanderbilt has all the makings of a trap game as Georgia will have a daunting task of traveling to Ann Arbor to take on the Wolverines of Michigan in the Big House. Let's hope the coach stresses the importance of one game at a time, to keep these boys focused.
In some off the field news, Georgia looks to be pulling in yet another strong recruiting class. They've started off strong pulling in home grown product QB Dustin Knox (4*) of Riverdale, GA. They also signed another homegrown product in the form of 6'0 186 lb. CB Darryl Maxwell (3*) out of Waycross, GA. Some big names seem to be favoring Georgia early on in the recruiting season.
Georgia is looking to dip into Florida to snag the #4 RB Mark Singleton (5*) out of Warrington, FL. They are also looking to beef up their defensive secondary by chasing after #3 and #4 CB's Brady Weaver and Bryan Day. Stay tuned as the next week or two will be what makes or breaks this Georgia recruiting class.

does anyone actually read my post game write-ups? or does it fall under the tl;dr file? I enjoy writing them, and will continue to do so. Just wanted to see if anyone actually is reading about it

Also, I feel as I started a little late but my predecessor did not do a good job of keeping many of the Florida recruits interested in staying at home as I am low in the ranks for many recruits (UGA is all up in my back yard and I don't like it).
Looking forward to some upset losses so we can be back in the top 5 and on the track to sneak up into a championship game.
