Any of you guys have any suggestions for recruiting? I feel like I always end up the season with 10-12 commits and about 7-8 guys that i have a huge lead for the last 5 weeks of the season and they don't commit. given the way offseason recruiting is, I can't get all of those uncommitted guys, so I have to settle for a few.

how do i close the deal with these dudes, or better yet get them to commit earlier? is it simply a matter of earlier visits?

Are the guys at the same positions as others you are recruiting? Like 2 top DE's or WR's

I mean you beat my arse earlier, and gave me shite a few weeks ago, so it would be kinda tough for me to be willing to help you.

Truth is, I don't really know any secrets.

I schedule visits ASAP. I never wait around. Better visits help build a lead on them IMO.

It doesn't seem like that's the problem. They visit, I lead by 1200+ pts for the final 4-5 weeks - they just don't commit. Maybe i'll trying scheduling earlier visits next season.

I'm no master recruiter, but I tend to only go for guys I start the season off in the top 2 (3, 4, or 5 if they are a huge position of need or they are ridiculously good). Then I schedule visits based off where I'm at. If I've got a big lead, I schedule an early visit, if not I wait.

Oh ffs my return man muffed the kickoff and then they got a safety on me

As far as recruiting, I try to schedule visits early if I am their #1 hoping for a commit. If not 1, just whenever I can get them to visit.

Fricking hell.

Texas State beats BYU 54-49

Over 1000 yards of offense combined between the two teams. Texas State rushed for 416 yards against my defense and I threw for 482 yards against their defense.

BYU QB Troy muffuggin beast mode Jones completed 17 passes and scored 5 TDs with four going to sophomore wideout Cory "white lightning" Baker.

Texas St. QB Aaron Fox dragged his dick all over the BYU defense for 167 yards rushing and 141 yards of sphincter clinching passing.

BYU will end the regular season with a record of 8-4 and the opportunity to pound some booty in a bowl game.

So is 8-4 good enough to get me some looks at bigger schools?

I think I'm back in during the off season. Ball is over so I should be able to keep up. I miss this.

You miss it and I`m feeling not so into it for the first time ever.

Hopefully, I will feel more excited about it soon.

You guys need to keep taking your time. This time next week I'll be back.

As for recruiting, I feel like I'm pretty solid at it considering I made UNC into a top 10 recruiting school and they had nothing going for them.

Like said before, I try to only go for top 2-3. I try to always start my board with 20 players. Depending on their ranking and where I am for them will dictate how many points I give. Then each week I look to see how much I moved up or down and cut bait and go back to the recruiting board and re-recruit certain areas.

Your team is stupid good. Like when I was playing them I kept thinking how the hell did the other guys on here not take some of these recruits. I'm pretty sure your gonna have 3 qbs drafted next year

It always comes and goes for me. Part of the reason I'm considering changing teams soon for the first time ever
