Recently my kids Switch stopped taking a charge. I read it may be the battery and being ours is over 5 years old I figured it was a good bet. Just replaced it and still getting a blinking light on my docking station. Won’t charge on the chord or other chargers either.

Anyone ever fix an error like this or is it time to shell out for another?

You can still set up a repair of the unit or contact a local electronic fix-it type place.

you do need to let it charge for an hour or so before trying the button tricks

After many moves mine got banged up. The charging wee light would not light up. I cleaned the areas that touch the charging partitions with a dry cloth. And wiggle wormed it placing in the cradle---- and it worked and has remained working.

Nintendo hardware is rightly earned a reputation for being fricky. Sorry fan boys it’s the truth. Doesn’t change the switch will almost certainly ends it life cycle as the best selling console beating our ps2.

Hopefully switch 2 beats this narrative as apparently, if you take the new approach square enix says it will take, the console will run games like rebirth
