I don't know why people are hung on the power when it's obvious this is their successor to both the WiiU and 3DS all rolled into one.
Remember when the original DS came out? Nintendo called it a 3rd pillar and claimed there was still a new Gameboy successor in the works. That was pretty much nothing more than cover just in case the DS concept completely crapped out. At the end of the day it was obvious they wanted the DS to be their new handheld and that's exactly what they want with the Switch. They want a handheld that can also plug into your TV. This is pretty much like a modern version of the the Turbo Express or Sega Nomad.

This is true, but what matters most isn't having the best specs. You need to be on the same playing field as your competition so you don't disqualify yourself from major games. That's where the Wii and Wii U have failed as they weren't on the same level of its competitors and thus lost out on games they would have gotten otherwise (and Nintendo is doing the same thing with the Switch).
I would argue that one of the reasons that the PS4 was able to start so well is that they could sell itself as the most powerful console at a lower price than Microsoft.

The switch is Nintendo trying to please everyone by making it a home console and portable console for Japan. Japan is all about portable gaming and doesn't care about home consoles. JRPG are becoming extinct on home consoles. I'm worried that the 3ds won't be replaced with the switch because I would think they would want to have a new Pokemon game out the same year the switch launches. Sony is not making another handheld gaming system so if they move the 3ds games to the switch the switch would be an amazing seller in Japan.

PS4 has a few but doesn't come close to the PS Vita or the 3ds. JRPGs outside of a few games are being made more for handhelds today than ever before. This is one of the reasons why we got the switch because Japan isn't into home consoles as much as the rest of the world.

People are complaining about the voice acting in English like crazy! Everyone has their opinion but it makes me so mad that people see this trailer and all they think about is the voice acting.

The only English voice actor that bothered me was Zelda. The Japanese voice actor had a lot more compassion and sadness in her voice. This game looks fantastic and I have watch the trailer over 10 times today.

As I said last night, I was really surprised they didn't reveal Smash alongside Splatoon 2. I'm guessing they'll add about 6 fighters to the next one. If I had to guess the 6:
1) Inkling (guaranteed)
2) Ice Climbers
3) Shovel Knight
4) Shantae
5) Paper Mario
6) K. Rool
