This game is the balls. Pretty sure I am at the end of the game but I decided to work on the side quests. It is good to hear that I can go and finish all these things after the main story is complete. Loving that I can destroy the tears in space enemies now with ease. Valkyries are next but I might wait to do that after I beat the main quest.
I agree with the bloodborne comments. Also Dunkey's review is solid.

boss fights have been meh for me though. I got the dragon last night and, while the bosses have been cinematically impressive, they are mechanically lacking. each has like 3 moves and it gets pretty dull. hope that they get more varied and complex

Just a reminder after the the credits roll go back to Kratos house and go to sleep. It sets up the second game.

Earlier in this thread I talked about this. I did not know if I was going to get downvoted to hell but I kinda miss the button sequence stuff. I felt like that was missing in this one.

Am I the only one who find these thing the most challenging?
Also, what’s the best armor to roll with in general? I feel like I pick up new epic armor, but when I compare it to my current rare armor, it says it’s a downgrade. Do I just need to upgrade it?

I still need to beat 3-4 other Valkyries. I spent my time yesterday in Niflheim farming and crafting the gear from there. I got to the Valkyrie at the end of the maze and one-shot her, surprisingly. I have a feeling I'm going to spend a lot of time trying to kill the Queen on hard.
Having a fully upgraded shattered gauntlet of the ages talisman works wonders, by the way. Make sure you put the right enchantments in it, too. LINK

I beat two valkyries yesterday, but pretty sure they were some of the easier ones.
Got stuck on the trials part where you have to beat 20 enemies without taking any damage. Pretty tough when basically every enemy had the ability to throw projectiles.
I only have 4 main missions left but I really don’t want the game to end. I think I’m going to need to progress a little more though to be able to upgrade the stuff I need to beat the other valkyries.

reflect skill + the wide parry window talisman = pwnage
I'm like you and just dont want to finish. I just freed the second dragon (Fafnir) and arrived at the giant's corpse with all the werewolves in the snow on the Chisel mission. how far am i?

Also don't sleep on upgrading Atreus' skills. If I remember right I basically let him do most of the work on that challenge while I stayed back and threw my axe.

i have every skill axe/hand to hand/atreus skill unlocked right now. i got atreus' first. he's a huge help

If I go back and go to sleep can I still keep grinding away and do side quests?
