I was just playing online with LSU against some dude who was horrible who had Clemson. Charles Alexander recovered a fumble for a score on the first play of the game, and I went up 7-0.

Later on, I'm beating him 14-6 then Charles Alexander gets a 22-yard Pick-6. I go up-21-6.

Towards the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Alexander gets ANOTHER Pick-6, this one like 27 yards, and by this time, I am rolling on the floor laughing. I shank the PAT because I can't stop laughing, and I kick the kick-off out of bounds. I offered him a mercy quit and he took it.

I noticed when I was playing against Bama yesterday that their corners are pretty fricking good. Receivers couldn't get separation nearly as easily as they had been. Had one QB-PA where Lafell was 1-on-1 with #3 and couldn't beat him deep on the play. It seems like dumping the ball on those drag routes is almost useless in this game too, something else I'm a fan of.

Damn. I'm killing it on D right now.

Try to use the "Key on Player" feature. That helps me.

And I NEVER use the run commit pre play stuff but almost always use the pass commit.

Yea, i like that as well. It's not completely useless, but it's not a guarantee like last year.

Same goes with out routes. If I saw man D last year, i could throw the same out every snap and completely it every time.

This year is so realistic with guys guarding routes closer, but not always.

I love it, this game is playing so solid right now.

Has anyone had this happen to them???...

So im at say my own 40 yardline punting to the computer and i punt it out of bounds at like the 20. Well when the computer gets it after that instead of having 80 yards to go for the endzone, its flipped and now he is at the 20 about to score.

happened about 3 times to me.

If you have your game plan set to aggressive you will get more facemask penalties. set it back to balanced and dont try to strip the ball as much. they tried to make it more realistic this year. i've found that when i keep my defensive game plan on balanced i dont get that many face mask penalties. but, if you want a sure fire way, just goto settings, then adjust the penalties slider for facemasks

Wow! I actually have a LOT of success with the drag route, it is actually one of my favorite plays. That is what makes this game so fun is that everyone has a different style.

I was more like shel, I would basically just call a play where that was my bailout guy, and it seemed like he would get 10+ every time last year. It seems like good corners cover routes so much closer this year, that if you throw that, the receiver gets tackled almost immediately. Again, not a bad thing at all IMO.

Yep.

Good cornerbacks(especially impact) will just be all over out routes and corner routes. Those routes were money last year for the most part. This year, they'll cover it and make the occasional INT, or swat it, or hit the WR and break up the pass right when it hits his hand.

It's VERY realistic, IMO.

They must have applied some kind of crazy-man filter to Ole Miss to mimic Houston Nutt. I just played them, and had 3 different plays where they went zero coverage on a blitz, which obviously resulted in long touchdowns.

Actually, I move him over one or two slides, then I run using turbo around the RT. I occasionally use the power move.
