I noticed Pokemon level meter stays the same when evolved and you can't max the meter until you are at a certain level.

Was the Lapras an egg hatch?
And yeah, Growlithe and Ponyta are both fairly common in my area.
My buddy has a 1300+ Growlithe. He is Level 15, and I am almost at 14.
Want to an area with a few bars that had stops in a cluster. 5 of them all within range of the bar I was sitting outside of. Had lures on each and an incense running. Damn near couldn't keep up. Should have used a lucky egg, but didn't think about it.

I have put about 12 hours in in the 20 hours or so that I've had the game.

Started playing this morning after reading this thread. Slim pickins in my neck of the woods...( 
to Coco and Jon's setups). Took the kids to the park to the nearest pokestop and walked around a small pond. Didn't catch anything of note, but we found an actual turtle that we named Squirtle. Five minutes later on the way home we caught a virtual Squirtle. :csb:

So are all Evee evolutions random? Evolved my first into Vaporeon the one I didn't want .

What level do you have to be to level your pokemon past 500? I am level 7 and it is saying I need to have a higher level to boost my Hypno

8 ish. All the CPs are commensurate to your level.

That's me. I am level 7. I caught a level 192 Drowzee in the wild, fed it a few times to get it to 230 or so and then evolved it.
