Nice... I have only seen one Drowzee.
And that is the first I have heard of a live capture Lapras.
I live captured an Arcanine among the craziness last night, but it was at 414 so I had to transfer.

Yeah ended up with the 1 hp bug at every gym battle though. Has anyone beating a gym match and if so what happens? What rewards do u get

I caught a 229 evee. Should easily surpass my flareon and vapereon when I evolve it bc I've only had up to 140.
Evee is the only non bug/bird/rat that I see enough to evolve here. If I catch 2 more I can evolve my 3rd. I get randoms but not enough to do anything with.

How do you get them? Do you need the stones, or can you just make them evolve then choose?

My EVEE I caught that I evolved was a 222 I think
I just clicked evolve it didn't let me choose

Candy like everything else but it's been random as far as the evolve. Hopefully I get the Lightning one before duping one of the other 2.

Damn gloom takes 100 oldish candies to evolve. That's the highest I've seen personally. Usually been 25 for second evolve and 50 for 3rd

You have to beat it multiple times in some cases. Got to diminish the gym's prestige points.
When you beat it, you get a bunch of experience, and then the gym will turn grey on the map. You click on it and place one of your Pokemon in it to leave as the gym defender. If you have a group with you, you can leave several Pokemon (1 each). I think up to 6 total.
Also, holding a gym gets you better rewards in your daily freebie (the shield emblem at the top right of the shop screen).

How many Pokemon do you have to fight at a gym? I beat a high lvl pinsar then had another come up. When mine died I lost the battle. So it's one vs 2-3?

Depends. If it is controlled by your team (red/yellow/blue), it is one vs. however many they have (usually it is at least two).
If it is another team's gym, then you can have a party of six that you pick before the fight.
