The ring is your normal health bar that depletes when you take damage or use stamina, etc. It will recharge over time.
The core is a more passive thing. When your cores are full, that thing recharges at its fastest rate. Your cores can be low if you're malnourished, wearing summer clothes in a ton of snow, etc. It serves as bonus reserve health/stamina when the ring is depleted. The cores will drain over time if you just do nothing.

Couple of trappers thorough the map. One in Saint Dennis if you've discovered that town. If not, it is a really cool New Orleans style town, worth going to see. It is in the bottom right of the map. Butcher stands as well.

I think you can set default primary weapons at a gunsmith. Haven't tried though.

Mainly from missions. You can look up some videos on youtube that will walk you through where gold bars are hidden throughout the map if you are really strapped for cash and looking to make money quick.

Yea, this is probably my biggest gripe. Unless my horse is dead, I want it to show up when I whistle. None of this it is too far away crap.

I've definitely adapted my gameplay to accommodate this. I lost my first two horses after reach bonding level 2 or 3 and vowed to take better care of the 3rd one. Just maxed her out. Named her Leonard cause she steamrolls bitches that dont make smart business decisions. Bought an Arabian at the start of Chapter 4 and named her Lanard cause they're like half the size

So, I found the gold bars close to my camp, but I’m not sure where to sell them. All of the videos I have seen said to sell them to the fence, but there is no fence option on my map. Where am I supposed to sell it?

There is a fence at Emerald ranch/outpost when you progress it far enough.

Possibly. Have you done the carriage mission that you turn into a vendor at Emerald ranch? If not, then you haven't unlocked it yet.

Is there any benefit for keeping my Camp reserve money high? You only really need money in there to buy upgrades right?
