Yeah, let's try to keep the story discussion to a minimum in this thread as to not spoil the experience

Apparently so, if the animal has a perfect pelt already. Can’t mess it up with the knife like you can with an errant shot.
Just can’t lasso squirrels or rabbits. Which sucks since I’m trying to do the challenge where you mail a perfect rabbit and squirrel carcasss off. Can’t get both at the same time.

I'll take it out for the sake of the threads purity

How big of an animal can you go?
Posted on 11/1/18 at 8:41 pm to jmarto1
I saw it on YouTube on a deer. Haven’t played tonight. I’ll find a bear and report back tonight.

Not a spoiler...
Just completed the story. Anyone else?
I know this was brought up a couple of days ago but should there be a separate thread for spoilers?

For those that completed it yes.

I think so. I'd tend to think this one is more just for general info, tips/tricks, funny moments, etc.
That way, those like myself, who spend days playing hours at a time and progressing none in the main story have their space to roam free

So last night I learned it’s frowned upon to lasso a guy they just hung from the gallows.

It's pretty jarring how much different the wanted system is compared to GTA V.
In GTA V you can literally drive down a sidewalk, mauling people over, while shooting an uzi at cars and you still might not get a wanted level.
In RDR2, you can sneeze on someone and you have 2 witnesses running to tell the cops you assaulted someone. They really need to tone it down. My only gripe with the game really.

In the basement of the cabin ruins just north of the stable on Dewberry Creek I found a cigarette card, and when I picked it up there was an arrow made out of matchsticks pointing south. I used the hunting eye (push down on both sticks) and there is a stone in the basement wall that glows. Has anyone figured out how to open the stone?
I have tried shooting it, dynamite (blew myself up) and equipped the knife but still cant get it to open.

I didn't get to see the spoiler which is good. Please don't do that here. Just little tips here and there. Vague is the new sexy.

I get what you are saying, but in GTAV I could be on mount chiliad and kill the only other person on the mountain and still somehow get one star. RDR2 doesn't seem to have that problem for me. I kill someone and no one is around, I'm not wanted.
I agree it's too easy to get a wanted level sometimes, though. I was riding my horse through some small ranch last night and a dog ran out in front of me and I accidentally hit him with my horse and all of a sudden I'm wanted. That's kind of bullshite.

Didn't even know it was there. I'll check it out tonight. I'm trying to collect a set of cards to see how much they are worth as a set
