Look, they're still EA, they have too many moving parts, they expanded far too quickly.
That is not the problem. The problem is that EA is run by a bunch of greedy simpletons with no idea how to keep this sort of company alive in even the medium term. Their business model is to acquire quality franchises, do the bare minimum possible to release a "new" game in those franchises, and then milk the idiots who buy those games for as long as possible.
Fortunately gamers are slightly smarter than the average American Bud Light drinker. They are finally figuring out that the EA label on the cover means the game is going to be an unreedeemable piece of shite.
EA will be dead in the next 10 years.

I can't play the game but I will say from watching gameplay of it that the size of the city is a huge disadvantage. You fill up the entire square very quickly and it doesn't take long until you get to a point where you have no room for all of the expansions that you need to make and your city goes to shite.

here's to hoping EA somehow fails at everything it ever does in the future.
Meh...I am not a fan of EA but they still put games on the market that keep other publishers honest. I am never for such a huge gaming company to go under no matter how much I don't care for them. Less competition is exactly how you end up with more companies like EA.
People wishing for the death of EA have no idea how bad it would make things for gamers for a while.
Best thing to do is to hope they right the ship and learn from these mistakes.

Don't invite anyone
Start a "global" economy with all 16 cities.
???
Profit.

So no one gives credit to EA for the Mass Effect series? I mean, I hate EA as much as the next guy, but EA was over ME when ME2 came out. ME2 was the furthest thing from shite imaginable. ME3 was fantastic with a bad ending.

That is without a doubt the worst post I have ever read on the Gaming Board...ever.
Please GDIAF and save us all the trouble of having to skip over your posts in the future.

ME3 is an example of what EA does to games now. They rushed out a new game in the series so that they could make their money quicker. Clearly your previous choices didn't mean much when I had lost my ME2 save file and it asked me a whole 2 questions before I started the game to develop my story. I don't even want to go into the horrendous ending and the fricking google images used in the game. Then they made sure to tack on a multiplayer so they could have a way to add microtransactions and paid DLC instead of focusing solely on single player for a single player series.

I'm with Drewbie. EA gave BW the resources it needed to develop such an ambitious trilogy.

EA has become the poster company how not to release a game.. DRM is the dumbest thing to hate gaming seen lets see G4TV!

I want EA to stick around a little longer so we can see rock-bottom. At the rate they are going, DA3 will release with 20 minutes of content, and DRM that includes an EA employee coming to your house to inspect your license every time you want to start the game.

What we have now is repeat releases of shite games tied to fancy marketing campaigns.

Look, they're still EA, they have too many moving parts, they expanded far too quickly. They can't handle everything and after SWTOR and this, They are, hopefully, figuring that out.
And people want them to handle microtransactions right now?
But they aren't the devil. Just a giant, amalgamation of great parts put into an inconceivable whole.
EA pisses people off because all these titles they are selling were all great at one period. People are getting sick and tired of games coming out bugged or with some sort of problem.

I will say that they also fricked up Dead Space with the 3rd game. They changed it so that there was now one type of ammo that worked in every gun, which is a fricking horrible idea in any shooter no matter what. They also completely changed the upgrade system to use the same resources you need for the crafting system ( with microtransactions to boot, obviously). And you want to hear the real shocker? They had plenty of day one DLC, including one that let you buy awesome weapons right from the start. Oh, and they've already announced paid story DLC.
