I was serious about Liberty Lagoon...there were teenaged kids wearing life jackets in 3.5' water...and they were not being supervised by a parent.

Apparently this thread IS monitored.

Only because even I've seen it before and it's GAF.

Denham has its own liberty lagoon
As you can imagine, it can be pretty trashy, with a different kind of trash, but the kids don't notice trash and they have a great time
I don't remember seeing many life jackets though
So how was it overall? Mixed crowd or pretty rough?

Way overcrowded (but that's expected, it's $11 for adults, $9 for kids when compared to Blue Bayou). There were less of me and more of the others. Pretty much everyone was trashy. Most of the people I talked to were nice, but I could tell by the looks on the lifeguards' faces that they hate dealing with these people.
My point was that there were so many unaccompanied kids with life jackets on (meaning they can't swim)...that just blows my mind.

Damn. The one in Denham is only 5 bucks for residents and 8 bucks for non LPers.
It's got a huge kids pool, a lazy river and 2 tallish water slides.
Wife will take the kids on weekdays during the summer but the weekends are a little too crowded.

There's a lazy river, two big slides, a third slide that you slide into this bowl thing and it poops you out into a pool below, a couple big splash pads, a lilly pad monkey bar net thing, sand volleyball, and several pavillions and concessions.
It was a nice facility, but the people...they made me never want to go back.

When we went to blue bayou for a work function in early May, it was pretty awesome because there wasn't much of a crowd at all and we had the pavillion reserved.
Blue bayou on a July Saturday though is not something I really want to partake in.
What's pretty awesome though is that our kids are blind to the type of opinions and judgements we have and they have a good time no matter what

Yeah, so is mine...she doesn't see any of the things adults worry themselves about.

She didn't meet her a little boyfriend?

Posted on 7/13/15 at 1:17 pm to Croacka
Wait, did I tell y'all the "boyfriends" story?
Posted on 7/13/15 at 1:19 pm to The Sad Banana
I wasn't referring to anything but now that you say that, I feel like I vaguely remember something
