I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I'm just trying to think how that conversation will go in a bunch of years from now.
How do you tell your kids that for your own good for later, I am delaying you getting a phone?

This has already happened in the past few years, where on the other side, we have traveled more with the family and had a blast.

It was more of a hey, you care if I plan a guys trip? "no, just keep me in the loop"

Looking for a Long Weekend Trip Recs

I am turning 40 this year and it has been suggested to me by my friends and wife that I go on a long weekend trip with the boys. :usa:

Currently we are thinking sometime during October. My thoughts right now are:
1. Pinehurst for golf (we all play, just don't play much anymore)
2. Chicago (depends on what the football/hockey/sports schedule looks like)
3. Scottdale (maybe too hot still?)

Where else should I look? We'd we driving/flying out of Shreveport area.
Depending on how much time I have, This might be the route I go.. I am quite handy with woodworking.
We have a 2 year old little girl, thats about to turn 3. She loves to climb and be outside playing. The wife wants to get some sort of playhouse/swing set.. What are yall's suggestions?
If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough
Owned a few Audis. Very little maintenance on any but we usually trade in around 60,000 miles. Be aware they depreciate very fast.

All the little towns in Tuscany were more my speed.

Nobody really talks about northern Italy.. Is that b/c nobody really goes or just not that cool? I loved getting out of Milan and hitting the small towns on the lakes. In fact we're doing a whole trip based on the lakes.

Another fun town, which I really enjoyed, Verona and the piedmont area north of there. Again, great wines.

What about Turin? Nobody mentions here. Has anyone been?
Mine is only 2.5. I go through my phone and look at pictures of us and her and i get teary eyed now.. :wah:
Im kinda with you... I remember just being kinda bored and having an empty feeling. Now that I have kids, yes, it's hard. But it's so much more rewarding.
