Did it go back to the dashboard or did it turn off? If it didn't crash to the dash, it's not the game. It's your PS4. In my experience, anyway.
Also, BF4 has been running very well today...even Conquest 64. No lag, no rubberbanding, nothing but sweet Battlefield goodness.
