I got really lucky with the 2 I got from GameStop. I got my wife a Switch and we exchanged gifts on the 12th before we came home for Christmas. She wanted to go to Target and GameStop to check out the games and as were pulling up in the parking lot, I get the notification on Twitter about the in store purchase for online sales at GameStop. We were both in line after that.
1 digital - for a buddy
1 disc - for a buddy’s kid for Christmas
The week before, I had waited outside Walmart twice when they were selling them in store and you could check inventories on brickseek.
1 disc - this one was mine
Today, another Twitter notification about Amazon. Just kept hitting the ATC button until it finally put one in my cart and let me check out.
1 disc - for my wife’s friends kid
ETA: there was also a drop at target this morning. Not sure how well that went. No one here seemed to score one.

I tried the Target drop. Had it in the cart but they sold out as I was checking out so no bueno for me.

I had one from in store Gamestop but then some one offered me a bunch of money without me trying to seek it so I did. Now have one coming from Amazon and Best Buy on Thursday.

That guy is a joke. 
The discord that banned me scoffed at that guy. For good reason, too. Every time there was a drop, he’d ask for donations from the people that scored one because “he’s a college student trying to pay bills.” He’s an FSU student apparently.
It’s always been Site Supply or bust for me. He always posted 30 seconds or so before that discord.

I was as well because I was getting the same error trying to get one from Covington. Changed my store to Hammond & started spamming the checkout & place order buttons. Got an error on the first few tries, but had it purchased on my fifth or sixth try. Frankly, I just got lucky.

I got a PS5 coming 12/31.
I never even owned an Xbox One or PS4.
What game should I get?
I like Golden Eye/perfect dark type games, baldur's gate, d&d types, psy ops, jedi academy, elder scrolls, from the N64 days.
Never played call of duty or that Tom clancy series. I liked Halo from the first xbox, but really never played anything else console based after.... I moved to MMO (guild wars, Wow, rift)....the star wars MMO was the last video game that I played.
Would like a role playing game with a possibility of a co-op mode with the wife. Nothing to resident evilish, nothing Mario kartish.
What's a few games you would suggest?

I wouldn’t expect any of those types of games yet. The big blockbuster games out so far that might interest you are:
Assassins Creed: Valhalla
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
There are some good games in the PS+ Collection that were out for PS4:
Batman: Arkham Knight
Days Gone
The Last of Us
And a few others...

Thanks I'll get the creed..... I'm wondering if I should buy a PS4 version from the series to compare the differences of graphics. I assume the PS5 is PS4 backwards compatible.

Direct link to Amazon PS5 when it drops again. This one seems to work better. It may give you a failure code multiple times but it eventually let me add it to cart and checkout.

Hmm what was yours initially saying?
I got one from Walmart on the 12/17 drop. Still says Preparing Order Arrives by 1/14....
Thing that has me worried was that it had charged my card that i used to purchase it. But a couple days ago the charge went away and is no longer reflecting on my card. Is that normal? Will they actually charge me once it ships?

Mine did the same thing. I have more then one coming in just in case one gets cancelled.
