i feel like i'm screwed because the only way to get into a queue is via mobile or private tab. i joined way too late.
eta: i could only get into the queue via a private tab or mobile. i kept refreshing and refreshing via the normal page and it wouldn't ever put me in one.

I thought the queue starts before the stock releases if I'm not mistaken. although, when I bought mine, I refreshed and bought one before the queue even started so I don't know.
edit yeah as for yesterday that's what I remember. We were in the queue, then when now in stock gave the in stock chime, people in the chat were starting to say they just went in stock and bought them
