I have a few days off and it hits the crapper. I know PSN is a free service, but it's to the point where I'm willing to pay a little bit to ensure a reliable server that won't go down once or twice a month for extended periods of time.

Even if PSN was a pay service I don't think it would of mattered. Someone was obviously determined to take the network down.
