Problem is you can't just loot farm and survive late game. You need kills to have enough shards and take their crafted gear, and you can't find fights outside of forges typically, but everyone is going to the forges after the first 5 min so every one in circle is like playing tilted towers. It's intense.

I really like this game. I prefer to have the abilities instead of building. The lag really only bothered me at the start of the match.
Warrior seemed like the best class by far when I played. 90% of players seemed to be warriors.
I can see myself playing this game more and more once the game gets closer to completion.

Happy w the frequent patches and it feeling like a genuine alpha. lots of things getting switched around although they seem to not know what moderate changes are sometimes.
Warrior is getting huge nerf this coming patch and I'll probably switch to Engi/mage.
Only gripe is that they tend to patch friday around 5pmCT

I've been playing a good bit, I'm just terrible tho. I do better in squads and duos.

cant find a duo partner that doesn't chicken snipe me. ill have 8K dmg and 1 kill. they need to make it like ghost recon where every chicken counts as a death instead of having to kill chicken for kill.

Lol no. HiRez makes almost entirely shitty copycat games. They stumbled into making Smite, which has kept them from going bankrupt. But their game management is horrible and their servers are bad. I think of Blizzard as the high end of gaming companies, HiRez is pretty low end
And every complaint you’ve had in this thread isn’t “game is in alpha”. It’s “game is created and managed by HiRez”. They have no idea how to balance a game, or make changes that a community wants, or how to improve a game experience, or how to manage quality servers
I say this as a dedicated fan of smite, and I’ve played paladins and realm
