Ended up going with the black market ak BP because:
I have some high end gloves with +AR damage.
My current superior vector is good enough (fierce,meticulous)
After 3 rolls , got deadly ferocious and self preserved. Not great but not bad
Ferocious requires 1899 for all 3 stats though

Just build a new one over and over until you get a high dmg roll and 3 talents you like.
Then deconstruct the garbage ones.

So I randomingly joined a challenge mode with 50 other players. So crazy. Did the challenge mode pretty much as fast as I could walk through it.

Lvl 14 now. I've been working on all side missions and events rather than the big missions. Need to start on those.
No more group missions though. Too often those people suck.

That's good. If you keep up with side missions and events the main story will easily take you to 30 without a lot of grinding to fill in the gaps.
Now, those events can get pretty grindy, but eh... could be worse.

I'd been running with an item lvl 31 MP5 ST. it did 88k dps with a 58 round clip, not bad. but I bought the vector blueprint last night. made it 8 or 9 times before finding one I liked. has commanding, deadly, and responsive talents. 108k dps, 36 round clip. melts lvl 30 purples and I killed a lvl 32 in the DZ last night with one clip before his friends came running and I ran the opposite direction.

Oh, and I really have started liking the LMGs more than the SMGs or marksman rifles.
