In my effort to find a "role" in this game, I have come to the conclusion that I am a support / team buffer player.
I came up with a "perma pulse / Smart cover" build centered around use of the Caduceus rifle I got from the benevolent Bullet King.
~2000 firearms, ~2000 Skill Power, and everything else that I can fit into Stamina. This allows the use of the "headshots reduce skill cooldown" and "crits heal for x% of the damage" perks of the caduceus. Roll as many armor bonuses into gear as possible to combat the low HP while keeping mod slots to tweak stamina to as high as possible.
Doing all this (in theory) should allow me to stay around 100k base DPS, 65k HP, 60% damage resist, and somewhere around 30k skill power.
The skill cooldown from the caduceus rifle means that my pulse should be up before it expires, allowing for permanent uptime in combat. This adds a ton of DPS, making up for the lack of firearms stacking. Depending on the team, first aid, smart cover, or support station will provide healing or further buffs for me and the team along with the huge spike in DPS that pulse provides to everyone.
Depending on the mission, my backup gun will either be my vector rolled with Destructive (armor damage) and swift (reload speed) or my Pakhan with armor/elite damage talents and swift.
I am most of the way there right now as far as gear is concerned, with only needing to tweak a few things here or there to accomplish the goal, so I will report how it goes.
EDIT: Talents: Tech Support(increase skill uptime - might drop this one if it is overkill), One is None (more ammo from headshots = more headshots=get more out of the build), Combat Medic, Steady Hands (for chaining headshots from cover, increasing heal amount from crits and cooldown speed)

That is a good build and you have the best weapon for it. The liberator is garbage.
Will certainly make you viable for incursions.
I'm trying to get my armor to cap and spending my resources there. I don't think I'm going to get a better navy mp5 (unforgiving/destructive with almost max base dmg)
The division tech grind sucks but I still enjoy the dz. It is satisfying mowing everything down and getting friends geared up.
Duoing the midtown music camp, with the elite cleaner pack adding from the west and a veteran cleaner pack adding from the south is quite the challenge. Then shotgunners rushing up from the subway just to say "frick you". Pretty thrilling

That is the idea. It also allows for solo play when needed in the DZ because first aid keeps me healed, pulse keeps me aware and doing tons of damage and the armor keeps me from getting completely destroyed while running away with survivor link lol

Your role is dark zone leader, I'm the dark zone lieutenant

Your ability to spot bosses in the subway through a pulse is only rivaled by your precision in taking out half health rogues trying to wait out their counter in questionable areas.

My build I'd is pretty similar but I'm using support station with the reload mod that reduces skill cool down and smart cover with heals.
The talents I have right now are triage which when I heal an ally it reduces skill children's 15%. Strike back which when I reach low health it reduces skill cool down 20%. Tech support: kill a hostile while a skill is deployed to extend skill duration 10%. And steady hands to reduce 25% when entering cover.
I could probably change a one of the talents but it worked out well in Russian consulate challenge last night.
Right now my stats are 87k dps/1873 firearm, 65k health/2188 Stan and 31k skill power/2204 electronics

That rogue never had a chance

I just rolled some God tier gloves.
Savage (13% crit chance to targets out of cover)
6% crit
33% crit hit dmg
10% dmg to elites
7.5% pulse critical hit dmg
So much damage. Unreal.

The state of the game today was interesting.
More pxc from lvl 31 and 32 bosses.
New blueprints.
Some old bps will no longer require dt. Probably require dz rank 40
New bps will probably come from dz rank 70 and 90.
Dark zone brackets based on gear score. Above 160 and below 160. No more steamrolling noobs.
I was just considering how I no longer NEEDED any division tech after last nights glove roll. Now the new hotness will come out and I will have to have it.

Doesn't get much better than rolling through the DZ with Jeff and the boys.
I hit the Armour cap last night according to Jeff. :humblebrag:

I'm still only DZ 40. But I am only wearing 1 lvl30 HE (Holster) due to good drops, so I don't really NEED to do DZ much, I just wanted to get to 50 and have everything available. Now it seems as though you have to get to 90 which I am not sure I have the stomach for with current HE drop rates. I have picked up exactly 1 useful drop since hitting 30 and grinding from 1-40 in DZ. Everything else is just material gathering via deconstructing. Not really worth the reward right now. I don't need a MP5 since I have a vector. I don't need any other AR than Caduceus and my Black Market AK. I can buy a lvl 31 holster with PC from the BoO eventually and be decked out in all 31

Seems like my laziness will pay off as I'm DZ 43, and now those 50 blueprints will be available

This is why I stopped playing, I would go into the DZ at rank 4 when level 30 and I couldn't even get a bullet in something to get drops, there were decked out people running around killing everything on one shot.

I haven't been back in since I was in there for an hour with two friends after Bullet King and got steamrolled over and over again.

damn some of ya'll have had some really bad luck

I fricked around with my gear/recalibations and got up to 61% armor.
went into the DZ solo after you left and killed 3 or 4 rogues, two of which I baited by accidently trying to melee them or standing in front of their bullets. pretty funny
rogue hunting is fun. we will do it more.
brannen, yeah, you will probably get access to the lvl 30 high end stuff for being lvl 40. aug, tactical acr, black market m60 blueprints etc.
im guessing the lvl 32 blueprints will come from either rank 70 or 90. 70 is doable for me, (im 64) but fricking 90 is just insanity. those blueprints better be incredible
ah frick its DZ level 75 and level 90 for the new shite.
lol the jump from dz rank 40 to level 75 is LARGE.
