Sure didn't. I Shouldve contacted them by phone also. I was watching Super 8 with my wife and parents after I bought it. Is it too late to register and get the CD, you think?

I wouldn't bother. Nintendo has been having problems all day. They might still have some though.

And I don't think it will ever be topped.

It game out as games were defining themselves in the 3D era.

And it set the standard.

Now a days there is just nothing that will make that same kind of leap forward to come close.

Ugh.

I just finished the Forest Temple and decided to do the Water temple because for some reason I don't like the Fire temple. I was doing great until I couldn't find a small key. I searched around for like an hour. Finally looked up a guide and realized that I flat out forgot that river type thing near the Longshot chest. frick the water temple.

Played it this weekend. It still feels like 1996. Glad I didn't waste my $40.

You mean 1998?

Nintendo didn't want game to feel different than the original- it was a conscious decision to keep the original gameplay and music intact but adding the eye candy that is the updated visuals and 3D. I'm personally amazed at how great the graphical overhaul looks. I don't know man. To each his own, I suppose. To me it looks completely different but in a great way- in my opinion, its the best version of th best game of all time.

As far as wasting $40, I assume you have a 3DS. What 3DS game do you feel is worth more than OOT 3D? To me, its the first 'must have' game of the system.

Truthfully, I don't feel that the software is anywhere close to what it needs to be. I'm very disappointed with my system purchase so far. I own SFIV, and haven't felt the nee
d to buy anything else.

Eta: I guess I should mention that I have been anti Nintendo for several years now due to the incessant full priced rehashes that Miyamoto loves so much. I had to buy the 3ds after playing SFIV in the store though.

I hear ya- the games have admittedly been underwhelming for me as well up until the eShop update and OOT's release. I bought Pilotwings at launch, and its a nice 'tech demo' style game, but it didn't keep my interest for more than an hour or so. I'd say just give it time. The good games will be out soon enough
