Anyone had a golf tech fitting with no plans of ordering clubs?

I really want to get a fitting just for the sake of knowledge about my own swing and what equipment will generally fit my game. I know enough about equipment and club making in general to do my own research if given all the information about my swing.
Is it common to go get fitted and leave without ordering clubs? Are they pushy at all? It would be nice to just get a baseline idea of what fits my game.
TLDR; Knowing all the numbers would be really helpful.

Did a driver fitting without buying because it would have taken too long. Very good experience at GolfTec BR

So they ask you or do you kind of just mention it at some point? I’ll probably do a driver fitting first b/c I have new shafts in my irons and I love them so far.

You are paying for the fitting, so they are making money whether you purchase or not. I’ve done it before and they weren’t pushy.

I personally would head to Club Champion over Golftec but i think either is beneficial. If a fitter every pushes you to make an order then they’re a bad fitter. Like mentioned above, they’re making money off of the fitting. I would just let them know you aren’t purchasing yet and want options.

Price for club was regular retail. Just didn't want to wait. I knew where it was in stock. Not pushy

I did it at club champion. I paid $150 for the fitting so I didn’t feel bad about it and they weren’t pushy. I wouldn’t tell them at the beginning you aren’t buying, I didn’t want to give them any reason to short change my fitting (not that they would)
They email you your track man data after the fitting

This isn’t from personal experience at golftec but just go in with your driver and 7i and tell them you’d like to see if there any combos that fit your game better. Shouldn’t be a problem since they make money

Went to club champion strictly because they have more options. Golftec dosent carry all major manufacturers . i.e. didn't carry Srixon which was the main club i wanted to try

If you ask, they may match, price, why else would you care about buying the club from them? They may also waive the fee if you purchase the club and ultimately be cheaper.
ETA: they also have a swing analysis package, but if you aren’t trying different clubs, I’m not sure that matters

My main focus is to get an idea of the type of shaft and bend profile that fits my swing.

Got fitted today. Pretty cool. Underestimated how much of a difference it would make feel wise and numbers wise. Will probably end up paying for what they fit me for
