Anyone here play with 8 iron shaft cut down in their wedges?

If so, do you still feel like you have pretty good control compared to a typical heavier wedge shaft?
I was considering doing this. I have KBS Tour 120 stiffs in irons. DG s300 wedges. Even if I cut down an s300 8 iron shaft, it’s not like it’ll be too light. Just lighter than they are now with a little higher launch and spin.

Bryson plays a 6 iron shaft in his wedges. I’m sure he can explain why it’s beneficial.

Which end are you going to cut? If you cut the tip you'll get a stiffer shaft with less torque, which will give you more control on a full swing but a little less distance. If you cut the butt you'll have more flex and torque (this is called "soft stepping"), with less control on a full swing, if you are young and swing hard. Based on your posts I suspect you are young and strong.
