Never been but, I’ve been to Augusta for the real deal and it is a legit game changer. It changed my life. This would def get me crucified by the mob these days but, i really don’t like that they have another tournament there. It’s great for the girls I’m sure and it has nothing to do with them being women but, that place is majestic and the idea that they have that thing there a few weeks in front of the masters is a weird decision. One i can’t stand honestly.

What are your thoughts on Drive, Chip, and Putt?

Ehhh. I haven’t put much thought into it honestly. My thoughts behind the tournament being played before the masters is this. It’s the greatest golf tournament on earth. They probably have the best maintenance and all of the divots etc are grown back in and look perfect. I just don’t think the course should be touched till the actual masters of golf play it for the year.

But they play lots of tournaments at Augusta, also regular people play it all the time. Did you think the course just sat there unused until The Masters?

This is just such a ridiculous thing to say, you realize people play that course every day right? So since the tournament is in October this year, nobody should play the course until after October?

Normally that course isn’t touched really when the actual masters gets close. Let alone hosting a tournament there a week or so before. It’s not that I’m saying it’s wrong that they do it. I just don’t like it. Loosen up that tampon man. Good lord

Man I disagree with you, but I definitely see where you are coming from. Definitely not going to crucify you over the take.

Oh, they do?

Define regular people, because this is a ridiculous thing to say.

Okay rich people that can afford to be a member and get in. It’s like any other exclusive CC except it’s just more exclusive.

I’m just saying acting like nobody else should ever play that course is a little bit silly

Name them.

Letting others on the course isn't silly but you have to admit it dilutes some of the allure of the place when you see it on TV the Sunday before the Master's.

Sorry I’m not gonna do the research the name them but I’m positive they happen. He just named one, they also do drive pitch and putt, I’m also pretty sure they’ve had college tournaments and amateurs there in the past. I know they’ve had senior PGA events there, it isn’t just the masters.

And I don’t see how it dilutes the allure because other people are playing on it, they aren’t playing in the masters, and they aren’t playing from the same tee’s as the pros, the course isnt gonna be playing the same way as it will when the pros play there

If they were having another PGA event there maybe I’d agree with you, but it’s a private golf course they can do whatever they want with it, if they want to host another event they can host another event who cares

I'll help.

Tournaments hosted Masters Tournament (1934–present) PGA Seniors' Championship (1937–38) Augusta National Women's Amateur (2019–present)

Drive, chip and putt is not a golf tournament.

See the above. You’re talking about tournaments that happened almost 100 years ago. I’m not saying nobody should play it. When the masters gets close i don’t think anyone should be on the course. That is all. I feel like I’m talking to my liberal #metoo wife here.

You don’t want to do research yet you’re saying they play a lot of tournaments there and “normal people” play it all the time? We can tell you don’t want to do research. The normal people you speak of are the billionaires and elites of the world that fund that majestically place. The senior pga event held there was literally about 90 years ago. Nobody is saying that the course should only be played during the masters. The women’s amateur tournament held 2 weeks prior or so i stupid. Hold it the week after. Or earlier in the year. Or the fall.

I get the feeling that you just want to argue for whatever reason, I miss spoke when I said a bunch of other tournaments were played there, for some reason I thought they played some college and junior college events there, obviously I was wrong.

The opinion you have that nobody should be on the course until they play the masters doesn’t make any sense to me.

And just because the members are rich doesn’t mean they aren’t “normal people”, what do you think rich people are somehow better than you? I bet half the members are complete hacks when it comes to golf
