Reunion in Madison is an amazing g course if you can get on. It’s private but they may let you play on a weekday and it’s $$$$. It’s manicured and greens are slick but fair.

Been awhile but I really liked Dancing Rabbit's layouts. Service is beyond pathetic and is the reason why we haven't been back.

Is it worth playing once a year? I’ve been thinking about giving it a go while at the Neshoba County Fair to get out of the cabin one morning.

The Refuge outside of Jackson if you find yourself in that area.

I live on The Oaks golf course and I have played every course on the MS GC many times so here are my rankings:

1. The Preserve
2. Fallen Oak
3. Grand Bear
4. The Oaks - bias reasons

Would not play - Windance, Shell Landing, The Bridges

I feel like Dancing Rabbit used to always be the top recommendation in Mississippi. Has is fallen back in recent years?

It won't be the best course in Mississippi, but consider driving up to Natchez to play Beau Pre. It's 90 minutes away, lodging is cheap downtown and there are good eats and drinks nearby.

Yes The Oaks over Windance. The neighborhood is a dump, it’s in a crap hole area, driving range sucks and the course is average at best.

Reunion is going to be a drive, but you can get on if you play during the week.

Let me know if you need help getting on. Greens are in great shape now but they aerify and close the course May 30 - June 2.

Yeah me and my buddies love Windance. Also if you have an Island View players card the value is insane. Just played it Friday and it was in great shape

No. All these courses over The Oaks and I've been a Platinum Member for many years.

The Oaks is a fun course, usually in good shape, but it's at the bottom of all other courses mentioned.

I would play them if you are close to the area. The layouts are great.

Absolutely, yes!

It's in the middle of nowhere with 2 crappy casinos the only thing to do, but the courses are great.

Nothing better than the Zoysia fairways on the Oaks course at Dancing Rabbit!

Yeah, I think what I’ll be doing is taking an extra day off from work to stay at the cabin at the Neshoba County Fair, then telling my fellow cabin dwellers I need to get back to work and have a day to myself playing both courses.

I found the preserve to be a very difficult course. The greens were super fast and had absurd undulations, which at times were distinctly unfair. Needless to say, the course kicked my butt but I can’t wait to go back.
