I don’t understand how people say LIV isn’t real golf. It’s three rounds of stroke play versus four….. the humanity!
I would prefer the US open to still be match play but I wouldn’t ever say the stroke player winner isn’t a real champion because it wasn’t match play and therefore not real golf.

Stoke play over all sucks. It’s done for TV purposes.
Match Play is the true way to determine a champion.

I think the team format has some potential, but they need to actually play as a team.
Scramble, or better yet worst ball scramble for 9 holes on the day before the tournament starts

I guess you think the Ryder cup should go to stroke play.

pitiful of you PGA fanboys to act like the #2 ranked player in the world leaving the PGA for LIV isn't a big deal.
Norman is putting together a strong Australian team for LIV's next season. Will it still be Punch GC or will there be 2 Aussie teams?
Could he also pull #41 Adam Scott, #49 Lucas Herbert, or both?
It's a big deal... But not a leathal one. Presuming he leaves ( which sounds like it... Granted) hell play 14, to 16 events and many of them will be at 2am to 7 am.
Why doesn't Norman have a strong Aussie team now? If I recall .. Matt Jones is the only Aussie. With the money and the favored son status of Greg Norman... Why didn't top players..Cam Smith Adam Scott Mark Leishman etc lead the way to join namesake of their national trophy?

The Punch GC team is all Aussie now, but it would obviously be much stronger if they add the #2 best golfer in the world with a couple top 50's.

Maybe Monahan/Fred Ridley scare tactics actually worked. Maybe they wanted to play in the presidents cup. After his major championship, I imagine Cam Smith is adding 1 or 2 more zero's to his signing deal too.

People said the USFL wasn't real football too back in the early 80's just because it looked different than the industry standard and generational market leader.

I stand corrected. Jediah Morgan Wade Ormsbey and Travis Smyth. Just because I have never heard of them doesn't mean that they aren't Australian

I'm sure Jason Day & Cameron Percy are MUCH better than those 3.

Let's talk about the 341st ranked player in the world, Cameron Percy. He's the one who broke the news about Smith/Leishman right?
Poor guy only made 8 out of 17 cuts on PGA Tour this year for about $500k in winnings... How much have those other 3 made in the past 3 events?
I guess he's feeling a little sorry for himself that he didn't go to LIV. Now he's on his way to Q school after his T8 finish at Wyndham & wanted to make some noise.

I’m not watching golf on YouTube
whats wrong with watching golf on Youtube or on LIVGolf.com?
There aren't any commercials...... you might get a chance to hear some one yell "F*%K" lol ......you don't have to wait until the afternoon to watch your favorite guy.
I sometimes watch liv on my phone and PGA on TV..... I don't understand how more golf is bad for the sport.
Not only is there more golf, with the big boys gone from PGA right now that gives other guys a better chance of winning in the PGA. When was the last time you heard Tony Finau's name this much?
IDK, more golf is a plus for me. And it seems more fun to be honest, only been to one PGA event, was awesome but i think if LIV were to come somewhere closer to me, i would definitely make it a point to go

The fact that Cameron Percy makes $500k and the 10th ranked player in the season long standing only makes about $5 million is what's wrong with the sport.
Rory, arguably the sports biggest star, is 6th in the FedEx Cup and has made $8.2 million this season and we have clowns like Cameron Percy and Peter Malnati making $500k+

I disagree. I think the only losers in this are the fans. I’m not watching golf on YouTube on a Saturday and if good players go to LIV ill get a watered down product on Sunday.
They’re negotiating a TV deal, so you can stop whining about having to stream like millions of football fans do every weekend in the fall.
