I mean are you arguing the pga tour doesn’t have a good pipeline for bringing in young talent? Because that was the posters point you seem to be arguing

They have a good pipeline. They do a bad job of managing the pipeline

I’ll agree. The fact that Gotterup and Coody might not get PGA Tour cards next year is absurd. I know the top 5 college guys get KFT spots, but probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to provide them PGA Tour spots instead.

Uhhh, yeah it is. Especially when more than half of it is gone before you even get it

Going from 1M to 50M has way more of a significant effect on your life than 50M to 150M.

Coody damn near earned his card in only 7 starts, but because he didn't play great for 3 weeks, he's going not be on TV for most of the year next year. It's retarded for the product

He needs a top 3 this week and he will be in.

Disagree. When guys used to go straight to the tour from q school an outrageous number lost their cards after 1 year. Guys coming up from KF have a better chance of staying on tour. He can do a year on KF. It will be good for him.

He had 3 top 10s and a win in 7 regular season stats. He finished 32nd, he almost got his card playing 30% of the events

And he’s 44th in the playoffs. He could probably use a full year on KF

That's two events brah. If you judged Tiger by his worst two events a year you'd say the same thing about him too

145 million. Holy smokes.

For a 145 million guaranteed, there are probably less than 8 guys on tour that wouldn't come over for that money. Tiger, Rory, and Justin Thomas are probably the only guys I'd say definitely wouldn't switch.

Still don't know how he did that. I know he can still make a lot of money that we could only dream about on the PGA Tour, but the kind of money he turned down is crazy. Almost no way he will be able to make that kind of money where he is unless he wins a bunch of majors and gets a ton in endorsements, which could happen I guess, but still a longshot. I would have taken the guaranteed money.

Do nfl or nba players with guaranteed money care if they win? Of course they do. Stupid question

Some do care and some don’t. A lot of NFL and NBA players have basically given up after getting huge paydays.

Good lord, that had to have been a structured deal where winnings go towards it. No way that was a signing bonus.
