Speaking of bad cart etiquette...

I never go to the left of the ball. I always go to the right, no matter who is hitting. I don't know that I've played with anyone that does the left, tbh.

I played a bunch with a lefty in college and going to the left was always difficult bc of habit. So I know how you feel when you are used to parking on top of your ball and you play with someone new. But 10 feet is a must

The University Course @ Ole Miss has those diabolical carts that shut down automatically if you get too close to the greens or don't return to the cart path when prompted by the touch screen

A couple years ago went to play somewhere new and they had these carts but no one told us before heading out. We're on the first hole, buddy hits the ball over into the woods on the left. Cart won't go forward. I put it in reverse and try to go forward again. No dice. We're both convinced the cart is broken so we literally drive fricking backwards back to the clubhouse to switch out carts. We even told the worker and he didn't mention anything about the carts disabling forward motion, just handed us keys to a new cart.

Get back out to the 1st hole and tell our partners what had happened and they explain to us why the cart wouldn't go forward. I've never felt so dumb in my life

Sounds familiar - did the same exact moronic thing. And the cart dudes that picked up our “dead” cart didn’t mention a damn thing about it either
