To each his own on Nance.
He is a seasoned announcer and I am sure that trying to fill four hours of air time can be daunting sometimes.
Nantz is seasoned and has some all time great calls. Overall I think Nantz is one of the greatest golf announcers of all time, but personally, I'd like to hear some new voices. He has become cheesy and I feel like I'm listening to four days of a Tom Rinaldi make a wish story. It's like he's just searching for an iconic call at all moments.
That's just personal opinion though. There's no arguing he is one of the goats. Just past his prime.

He is, without a doubt.

This is unfortunately true, as well. It doesn’t feel natural anymore.”Mcilroy has his masterpiece!” As retarded as Verne was, he was authentic. Still, the positives outweigh the negatives with Nantz, and it’s going to be a sad day when you don’t hear his intro at the Masters.

Nantz is a GOAT.
But something goes on with these announcers when they get in the twilight of their careers. They turn into obscure history lesson guy, fawn over every little thing, and force their "winning moment line". Verne Lundquist did it. Brent Musberger was well on his way until he was fired for being openly horny. Mike Joy, who does NASCAR on FOX is the premier example and has made their broadcast unwatchable.
Nantz openly wants to do the 100th Masters in 8 years. He'll be 74. I hope he can keep it on the rails until then and rides off into the sunset afterwards.

Nobody moves the needle when they aren’t known. I remember when Scheffler was starting and people made fun of his swing and thought he was boring.
People have become so focused on drama and excitement and I’d say you’re not a true fan of golf. There’s a lot of things that happen that aren’t exciting in golf. One of them can be when some new golfer comes and dominates a tournament through 3 rounds and has a 6 shot lead. That’s golf. Don’t watch it if you don’t like it but, the Tour doesn’t need to change anything to focus on your ADD and needed for constant action.

If there's a minority within 20 shots of the lead Nantz is ready to JIHP.

David Feherty is the GOAT

He's a ginormous douche and not well suited for the job he has. He should go back to podcasting.

Let’s face it when johnnie Miller and David Faherty left the PGA golf broadcast they were a very big loss.

I heard he shot 63 at the US Open one time. I could not stand him or Venturi on the mic.

Johnnie Miller, for about 10 months, was the best player on Earth.
that's rarified air and allows one to talk a certain way.

Good riddance to David Faherty, I would be fine not hearing any of his lame jokes ever again, but Miller was probably my all time favorite.
Miller didn't sunshine pump literally every player and decent shot that is shown. I liked that he would be critical of guys. Made for a more enjoyable, balanced broadcast.

Nantz used to be great and has some iconic calls. But he has been pretty bad at the masters lately. His "stories" that he tells throughout the round about the leaders trying to build up to the greatest story ever told that he tells the entire 18th hole on Sunday. Like jesus dude shut up and call the tournament.
This is 110% the case
