Long with the driver, but I spray it like a sum bitch. Great with my fairway woods, I should really hit a 3 wood everyhole saying thats my 270 club. Decent with the irons, but I dont hit as many greens as Id like. If my short game is on I can make birdies/pars but it will likely not be.
Usually end up from 80-85 depending on how many doubles I make. My best score is a 77 after being 5 over through 3

16 Handicap. Am in a golf pool and use the handle 'TreeKnocker'. Pool name says a great deal.
I can find the trees on a dessert course. Having played them so much, I do have a knack for recovery.
I also bang a drive 270yds, which is good for a Boomer. I do skull wedges from time to time for extra distance - my noted shortcoming in this game.
Love the game, play year-round.

Let’s just say I consistently rise to my 8.5 handicap. I can shoot 76 to 85 on almost any course and I am too old and cheap to get lessons. I hit a lot of fairways and greens and make few putts. Decent bunker player and good chipper. Way above average scrambler on erratic days and I do a great job of avoiding double bogey. Play from the whites and play better with a cocktail.

The difference between shooting an 88 or 101 comes down to my putting and/or whether I duff chips or not.
I'm pretty consistently inconsistent with my driver. Some good, some bad. I'm a remarkably terrible ball striker with my irons, often hitting it fat or hitting a weak push and really only puring 3-4 per round that go where I intended them to go. At least the fat shots tend to go very straight.
Sinking putts from 5-10 feet is the biggest scorecard changer for me. When I'm on with the flat stick then I can rattle off pars and occasional birdies to make up for inevitable triples and doubles

I will shoot between 86 and 93.

I make the ugliest pars on the course. Never been a great ballstriker but the newer tech has helped me get handy in two most outings. Above average chipper and putter. Lifetime 12/14 hcp. My balky back usually dictates how fun the round will be

The number of gimmies and mulligans directly correlates to how low my score is.
If I’m in the 70’s or low 80’s, likely no gimmies outside of 2ft tap ins to speed up play, and no mulligans except maybe one front 9 mulligan if I didn’t get to warm up.
As my score starts creeping into the upper 80’s or god forbid the 90’s you can bet on 3-4 mulligans and some preeeettttyyyy generous gimmies
