Playing Asian Tour events isn’t going to help that SOF issue. And I wouldn’t hold my breath with the majors, at least for the time being, regardless of how you personally feel about whether they should be able to play

There you go, get those goalposts moved now that I've showed you you're wrong.

And they can play European Tour right now too

ok good talk Mingo. These are, among others, valid issues they’re going to face, regardless of whether you want to acknowledge them. Acting like a prick every time someone disagrees with your takes doesn’t bolster your stance either. HTH

Yeah based on the guys they have playing in the next event, they absolutely deserve points. The issue is going to be whether or not they continue to weed players out to keep it competitive. They have huge investments in big name guys that they don’t want to get rid of. I mean At this point Phil being in a tournament is pretty much like having a guy from the alps tour there, but they aren’t going to get rid of him even if his replacement would strengthen the field.

That's the definition of moving the goalpsots. I showed you multiple examples of where else they can play to not only play each other so you changed the subject.

I acknowledged this exact issue already in this thread, saying the formula for determining points no puts more emphasis on depth of field, which hurts LIV pretty bad since it's a small field. No Laying Up and Nosferatu had good tweets about this. You may want to check them out.

You didn't disagree with me, you changed the subject

Because you said they'd only be playing against each other. Categorically false.

Is your head going to explode when you see LIV guys playing against Rory in two weeks?

They could add me as the 156th guy in the field of a PGA tournament and it wouldn’t weaken the tournament nearly as much as adding me as the 49th guy in a LIV tournament.

One thing that will be interesting to see from an OWGR standpoint is if LIV has to add some sort of qualification guidelines. For example, they dropped Justin Harding for the Boston event despite his finishes of 11th and 9th in the last two events (finished 21st in the first event) and Hennie Du Plessis who finished 2nd in the first event.

Obviously I get why those guys are being dropped, but I feel like there will have to be a qualification system outside of solely popularity for OWGR to validate LIV going forward.

Almost positive there's going to be at least 4 spots that are given to Asian Tour players based on standings on that Tour. All of the details on that aren't public, though

I could definitely see that. But also, is there a way to guarantee yourself a way to stay on LIV? And if so, what is that? I think every tour has that possibility (or a way to advance to another tour) but LIV is solely invitational.
